What phrase do you hear ALL THE TIME during your working day, that makes you want to scream?!

So I’m a childminder.
Whilst out with the kids (presently four 2 year olds) I hear “you’ve got your hands full” multiple times a day!
Over and over again, and it’s SO hard to react with a smile sometimes! (But I do obviously)
When I worked in shops it was “printed it this morning!” if someone handed me a fresh note.
So what do you hear constantly whilst working, that makes you scream inside?!

‘Conscious of time’
’Hold the pen on…’
‘Have you sighted X on this’
‘The golden thread here is….’
’Our shared North Star…’

Aaaarghhhh.

PS - can anyone guess where I work?

When I used to work in a public service point in local government:

The exigencies of the service (mostly with a blend of amusement and contempt)

Its in the staff instructions.

Can you take a rotation message? (a message passed around by phone)

Current buzzwords from the ExCo members at my company seem to be “affecting a cultural shift” and “setting the tone from the top”. 🙄

Not only do these phrases indicate how invisible, ineffective and lacking in credibility this leadership team truly are, I’m 99% certain that buzzwords are all they will ever be…..Both individually and as a group, they are useless when it comes to taking any kind of substantive action that would actually deliver a definitive, positive change.

Frankly, if I wasn’t fully contractually Home-based and my salary and benefits package wasn’t so good, I’d have run for the hills some time ago. A fact I have to remind myself of regularly, especially after I’ve just had the same utterly pointless f*cking conversation as I had the previous quarter with one of said senior numpties.

Roll on retirement!!

Seems we work together

I can assure you that many autistic men do. I've finally realised at the age of 58 that I don't say things the way NT people do, and I'm fed up with the deluge of questions after I say something. So I ask "does that make sense?"

It's a learnt autistic behaviour. You can assume all you want.

It is also a trauma response ( I find there are a few similarities between the two) where not being understood has been an issue or you've been around people who pretend not to understand. But i agree with the other poster, it's good to train oneself out of doing it.
