I’m really struggling with my downstairs toilet as there is nothing out there I like!
Our flooring is attached and I love the panelling below in the green paint colour I’ve chosen but cannot find a wallpaper I love!

Ive added the one I’ve chosen but it’s just a bit boring, I want something louder but not too loud.

show me your inspo!

I can’t remember now, I think I bought it online about four years ago. I surprised myself though, the rest of my house is mostly beachy duck egg blue and understated, but putting that wallpaper in the downstairs loo made me a bit braver in a couple of other rooms.

Upfate - I found my original order email - it’s Leopard Palm Tree Jungle wallpaper in Charcoal from a company called 1wall.com and was £15 a roll. Their website is down for maintenance at the moment, but they have a Facebook page with contact details. If they’ve discontinued it there are a number of similar ones around.

Dunelm has a cheetah one which is relatively similar, if it is discontinued @ConfusedAtAllTimes.

I’m finding the trend of crazy loo wallpaper is a bit overdone now.

This, isn't it about 5 years ago?

My downstairs loo walls are some of white shade. Plain.

Personally haven't ever taken the blind bit of notice of crazes or trends, whether fashion or house decor. I just do what I like.

Wrong forum perhaps?
Hard to tell colours from photos. But if you toned down the green paint to a sage, then blush pink wallpaper in a similar pattern to the one you picture would look amazing.

Very 2016. No don’t do that.

The Natural History Museum has some beautiful nature based wallpapers right now. Or the Morris & Co Owl and Willow is very bold. Johanna’s Damm from Sadnberg also beautiful.

dontcallmelen · 13/04/2026 08:33

@Hoogieflip photo of my bathroom with the “Nostalgia” wallpaper from Woodchip&Magnolia might give more of an idea how it looks on the walls.
some really beautiful cloakrooms on the thread.

Absolutely love this @The6thQueen! Where's your wallpaper from?

Thank you ☺️ It’s part of the Sanderson Embleton Bay series, this is estuary birds. It was quite pricey for me, but it’s a small space and didn’t take much and I plan to have it for years!

Same here. All these decorating fashionistas telling people their ideas aren't fashionable these days...who cares?! If I like it, I do it, regardless of 'fashion'. (FWIW, what's fashionable can sometimes be bloody awful, IMO, and following trends could be seen as a bit sheep-like!)

I love my wallpaper and when I get bored it’s easy and cheap to replace

Oh gosh no it was from Homebase when we still had one and was mostly beige and grey.

I love your elephant wallpaper, I'm now scrolling through the website

I have decorated my house in what my DD calls ‘Iberian industrial’. Quite a bit if Spanish influence. Here’s our loo wallpaper. The woodwork is painted to match the background cream colour. It’s by Cole &Son, a very good brand.

This is beautiful! And your daughter 🤣 too funny.

A downstairs loo feels like a bit of a status symbol in this economy, I just have the one.

Not at all. They're pretty standard in most new builds these days.

We have a big Victorian terraced and no downstairs loo (we have a main bathroom and en suite though) but most of my friends who live in newer houses have one.

How dull.
Not sure anyone has the money or inclination to redecorate their loo’s to fit in with fashion trends.

SummerFrog2026 · 13/04/2026 10:49

I love seeing everyone's downstairs loos. Some of the papers are fab. Interesting all the different tastes & styles of little rooms.

mine is tiled in big grey tiles (I know many wouldn't like it, but I do 💁🏻‍♀️). Whilst I can admire bold & busy I can't live with it. I have a skylight in mine which I LOVE.

dontforgetme · 12/04/2026 10:20

We have tiled half way up then off white paint with multiple bright prints hung up.

This! I hate wallpaper.

Badballerina · 13/04/2026 11:01

Hoogieflip · 12/04/2026 19:53

@Badballerina and @dontcallmelen I love that paper! Does it have only one column of flowers per width, please? I'm trying to work out how it'd look on my wall. (I see someone on their website complain that the sample isn't wide enough so I'm tempted to just go for it without buying a sample.)
Has anyone seen any other papers as ”real" looking?

Yes one column per strip - we actually used it in a bedroom and loved it so much we used a spare roll in the loo

I can't show you in situ because it's not been put up yet, but I've gone for this and it's so loud but I love it 😂

I love it! A dd has a very similar one in a small utility area.

TrickyD · 13/04/2026 11:33

Here’s ours. Not wallpaper but cut out by me and stuck to walls and varnished. Bits of paper were found all over the house. Sorry about loo paper.

Did you have tissue paper made for your toilet roll? ❤️

That's stunning @TrickyD...I love a print room ❤️ Many years ago we did the hallway of our then victorian house in this style, although it was a continuous swag pattern I printed and cut out by the dozen which took me forever. We had deep yellow walls with the swags sitting immediately above the dado rail and grey gloss lincrusta below (long before grey became a thing!). I remember having to varnish the whole expanse of wall above the dado otherwise there would have been a distinct line. My parents thought I was mad - especially the use of battleship grey gloss! We had a collection of framed vintage architectural prints on the walls and a grey/black swagged curtain on the landing window. We loved that hallway and went on to do similar in the bathroom of our next house but with raspberry walls.

No, I think that’s a step too far, even for me 🤣. It’s one of the wrappings Bumboo do, ad I say, I’m a sucker for all things pretty 🫣
