Are you concerned that Trump has totally lost his marbles?

Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP

But would Vance be any better?
Not batshit crazy but just as evil.

Yes. Vance is deplorable but not unhinged, and I think he's less likely to take extreme, undemocratic actions.

he has various advisors around him that guide him, the average joe has more average joes

Trump has sacked anyone with experience or knowledge and surrounded himself with the worst kind of yes men sycophants who say what he wants to hear. And Stephen Millar, the literal Devil in size 5 shoes, driving the tank towards Armageddon.

Sounds like you don’t know much about political reality either.

This is just politics, this is the way ordinary people talk, he is playing to the (his?) gallery, this is just an extension of things politicians do all the time to appear relatable to ordinary people, think the Tory guy who always got photographed with a pint, and claimed he could drink ten pints, Sunak with the borrowed car filling up (obviously in his real world the staff fill the much bigger more expensive car) the Milliband guy with the bacon butty trying to chew properly, it is all just a clown show, this show has very real very serious consequences though.

With respect but I think you are as removed from reality as DJT is.
This is not normal politics my dear this is lunacy, sociopathic lunacy!

I saw Springsteen last June in Liverpool - absolutely still got it for me ha. I can’t bear to look at Trump but the glances i unfortunately still happen upon show he has no cause to criticise anyone’s looks - he must seriously be in contention for the most repulsive looking being tbh.

Trump can’t bear Bruce as he told him to desist from using Born in the USA first time around - which orange man clearly had not even listened to properly anyhow.

Springsteen spoke about the US for a few minutes, thanked us for listening - not heard him do this previously, as it’s usually all about the music.

He sounded so devastated at what was happening to his country - worst he’d ever seen by far - ended saying he believed there are more good people in the US and they have to believe that the US is better than this and they will get through.

Sadly it’s a lot worse there than last June - it’s good those with a voice speak out but those close to Trump need to band together and speak out directly to him.

Liverpool…. I was there too. Huge respect for Springsteen’s stance against Trump.

I don't know if he's any better, but he won't inspire the same weird devotion, and I get the impression he's not really very popular within MAGA

In the U.K., or at least previously, you voted for the party you most agreed with but probably didn’t totally agree with every single thing they said. You looked at various policies and general approach and balanced it for your vote for your main preference and belief in capability. It may have taken a bit of thought but it’s ridiculous to think one party will list every single thing you agree with - or it used to be.

Now, it seems there is a faction, here and in the US - where you have to just slavishly and adoringly believe every single thing they do - however insane it doesn’t matter, you just do a lot of mental gymnastics or switch off the brain cell to robotically agree just because you are a certain party fan - like football really, though originally I don’t think that was as hate filled either.

To balance stuff you may not agree with such as Kamala promoting trans rights against Trump’s pussy grabbing, disabled mocking, bleach injecting self (assuming you don’t agree with these) determined to cut Medicaid actually seems a no brainer to me. It wasn’t just trans rights he didn’t care for it was every woman’s rights, if not every person’s rights.

Obviously, people balanced the above (and more of course) to vote how they saw fit, but since then he’s actually broken his pre-election commitments such as no war and release of the Epstein files that supporters literally voted for - so baffling how folk still think that’s ok.

I'm not sure they do.

"Net approval rating is -20, down 1.1 points since last week. 36% approve, 57% disapprove, 7% not sure."

36% still seems nuttily high but America is a land of polarisation and extremes.

atomeve · 05/04/2026 19:33

Iran's regime is among the most loathsome in the world, but in terms of which country poses the biggest threat to the world and to western values...its the US, and its not even close.

Why are people saying Trump wears nappies as a means to insult him or discredit him?

please just stop.

There’s been many rumours about his loss of bowel/anal control for quite a while now (some have blamed drug use). It’s not improbable.

Why shouldn't people mention it? It is often mentioned by Noel Casler who worked with Trump on the Apprentice and he says it is the result of his excessive recreational drug use.

Trump is wildly personally insulting about everyone he dislikes or who have criticised him so if he dishes it out, he should be able to take it.

Trump is not a wise leader.🤯 He's a desperate, megalomaniac who's fucked up massively. He's a dangerous loon.

He is POTUS, not king or emperor and the Republican Party should be reining him in.

It's also interesting seeing that the most upvoted comments on Fox News's article about his post today are highly critical.

Loss of support is probably a good thing in terms of the likelihood of his trying to cancel or rig elections but, in the short term, I fear it makes him more dangerous.

Yearly cognitive function tests need to be standard for all presidents/prime ministers/nation leaders

He's clearly IS having tests for dementia, hence him referencing his performance on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a 10-minute exam used by clinicians to detect early signs of Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment.

The problem is, the team around him will never take proper action in response to anything that indicates cognitive impairment. Highly likely that his test results are already concerning – but his team will never make this public. They will keep him in office and deny any cognitive issue for as long as it's humanly possible.

properidiot · 05/04/2026 19:35

Absolutely unbelievable that the US government don't intervene and just hide him away. It's ridiculous that one crazy man has all this power. It 100% would not happen in the UK - common sense would prevail. The USA is one crazy country!

Same as they did with the last guy.

Wise? His age has definitely not granted him wisdom.

People voted for Trump as he appealed to their base racist, sexist feelings and promised that they would be better off. Now America is more violent, polarised and their economy is taking a hit, grocery prices are so high and now he’s even hitting fuel, which will impede farmers, food stocks, travel, the lot.

Maybe try doing a bit of reading about what’s going on. And not just one channel or paper.
