What’s wrong with me, hospital clueless

elm26 · 26/03/2026 15:24

Yesterday at 1pm, I put my 6 month old on the rug with his toys and went for a wee.

As I was walking back I had a sudden severe pain in my right side radiating into my lower back and up to my shoulder, I was in agony.

I called DH who was luckily only on a job 15 mins away, he came straight home and took one look at me and called ambulance, I was shouting out in pain they gave me gas and air and morphine.

I had an emergency CT when dye last night and also have a catheter as lost the ability to wee. Nothing showed on CT, they got me settled on morphine and today I’ve had a transvaginal scan which shows ovaries and womb look normal.

Gynae can’t find a reason so they’ve stopped painkillers and just giving me paracetamol but somethings wrong I feel like somebody’s twisting my insides. The gynae consultant was horrible and said the surgical team will come see me if they think it’s worth it?? So I’m waiting for that if they come.

I’m in so much pain and genuinely scared they’ll send me home not knowing what is wrong with me.

Has anyone has anything similar?

ODFO. Who made you the thread supervisor. It works for me,

@Flicitytricity you are both polite and helpful.

OneMagentaViper · 30/03/2026 08:13

Nothing to add but I’m so sorry you’ve been through this, it is getting harder and harder to advocate for yourself successfully as a woman, I think as we generally put up with a lot of pain and just brush it off because of this!

Bullshit. Your last post was goady.

@Flicitytricity another here that thought your advice re bookmarking was helpful.
It has taken me ages to realise that just bookmarking doesn't work and that you also have to watch.
But anyway , wondering how poor OP is doing today.

Bookmarking makes sure you're place on the thread is marked. Watching puts the thread on the bookshelf.

VimtoDemon · 30/03/2026 10:46

Ignore the haters OP and just concentrate on getting better! I know I for one am concerned that you were treated as you were initially hence I logged back in to see your updates.

I hope all is resolved as quickly and as painlessly as possible 💕

Agree with you, I mean WGAF how someone manages their threads on here, how does it affect anyone!

Jacopo · 30/03/2026 11:16

Well, if everyone kept writing “Follow” all the threads would fill up very quickly.

There's also the flip side. People are triggered and feel anxious on behalf of a faking OP.
They spend time thinking and posting to help.
It dwells on them.
They post.
With their full chest.
and it turns out to be...

Oh bollocks. That's just an excuse to troll hunt. If you don't think it's genuine then you hit the report button and let HO do their job. Troll hunting on the thread is against the rules as it's destructive, hurtful and generally driven by a 'oh look how clever I am to question this' rather than any desire to help others. Use the report button and don't attack people who are posting. I think troll hunting should get a automatic 24 hour ban so troll hunters can't just keep attacking an OP and derail the thread.

TBH I was trying to explain why some people troll hunt not necessarily saying this OP is/was.

ODFO. Who made you the thread supervisor. It works for me,

There's a reason why threads on Mumsnet are NOT full of people posting "follow", we use the tools provided to avoid that. That's the reason someone gave you advice and all you could say was fuck off???

Mumandcarer80 · 30/03/2026 13:07

elm26 · 29/03/2026 11:38

wait do people think I’m lying? If you search my username I’m a long term user of Mumsnet I’m genuinely as baffled as everyone else

I see mumsnet posts all the time on Reddit posted by mumsnet Trolls. They seem to think everyone who posts on mumsnet is making it up.

justasking111 · 30/03/2026 13:34

I hope @elm26 is getting some rest now.

Just wanted to say I’m so sorry you are going through this scary experience @elm26 . Thinking of you and hope you get some answers and relief from the pain x

Icouldabeenalawyer · 30/03/2026 16:29

No advice but have been following and hope you get some answers and feel better soon OP x 🌺

Cranarc · 30/03/2026 18:09

I'm so sorry you're going through this and I hope you get some proper answers soon.

Sadly I am not surprised they fobbed you off and sent you home the first time. I keep hearing about this sort of thing.

Shiticandowithout · 30/03/2026 18:34

How are you getting on OP?

elm26 · 30/03/2026 20:05

They are thinking now I could have some kind of either stomach or bowel disease which may be causing something to twist temporarily or spasm every now and then. I am going for a colonoscopy tomorrow and I’m still well dosed up on morphine. Thank you all for well wishes and checking in x
