To want to go and slap DH's mates?

Scootergrrrl · 16/06/2008 19:24

A couple of his work colleagues are 38 going on 18 - "ooh look, alcohol, let's drink as much as we possibly can then pass out - what fun!" and are always trying to get him out with them in that way men do "surely you're not scared of what your wife might say etc etc".
He's been on a leaving do since lunchtime and is now asleep on the doormat. Who shall I slap first - him or them?

doesn't sound like he'd feel it.
Send his mates the doormat when he wakes and is sick on it!

Ds1 is 19 and has outgrown this phase.

posieflump · 16/06/2008 19:27

aw bless
at the end of the day you can lead a horse to water but can't force them to drnk it

Why not take the stick out of your own arse first?

Scootergrrrl · 16/06/2008 19:30

That's what's annoying me, I think. Tomorrow morning, he'll be all "but I didn't want to drink it, they made me" and I'll want to slap him even more. Grrrrrrrrrr.

I suppose I might leave him there and have a peaceful night's sleep At least he won't be snoring next to me. Now, blanket or no blanket.....?

If he's in his 30s he is responsible for going out and getting pissed, not his mates.

EffiePerine · 16/06/2008 19:32

blanket and leave

if he says 'they made me do it say 'HOW old are you?' He isn't a teenager any more FFS.

posieflump · 16/06/2008 19:33

just leave him
let him learn from his own mistakes
it's not your problem
you are not his problem

go open a bottle of wine, have a lovely bath, get an early night and practise gloating for tomorrow morning

LadyOfWaffle · 16/06/2008 19:33

Oh, he will probably suffer enough. I will never forget about a year ago DH tried to be The Big Man and drink Jack Daniels neat. After pigging out on smoked salmon. [green]

Scootergrrrl · 16/06/2008 19:35

Have just spent £40 on shoes online - that'll teach him...

posieflump · 16/06/2008 19:35

Scootergrrrl · 16/06/2008 19:37

What can I buy next ? He's still snoring next to me - come on ladies, bring on the expensive stuff!

Bucket, ice,water, poor.......

mankymummy · 16/06/2008 19:38

rummage through his pockets, nick all the notes and then exclaim loudly in the morning how much money he spent.

and then go and buy yourself another pair of shoes

oh and if he's wearing a favourite shirt or anything, surrepticiously rip it - he'll think he did it whilst out.

mankymummy · 16/06/2008 19:39

perfume is a good one !

Scootergrrrl · 16/06/2008 19:39

He does appear to have broken his watch

How abusive! If a man was saying these things about a woman there would be hang him comments

Grow up, he is a grown man, if he wants to get pissed, he gets pissed

Scootergrrrl · 16/06/2008 20:03

Have opened my wine!
