AIBU for complaining

I was admitted to hospital on Sunday (22nd) with severe pains (I am 6 wks pregnant so the concern from staff was miscarriage)

I disclosed to staff I will not be keeping pregnancy due to MH issues and already having a SEND child who takes all my care and attention. Staff was fabulous EXCEPT for ONE...

I was sent for an MRI due to a brain tumour I have possibly growing due to the pregnancy hormones and was greeted by a doctor. She then refused to do the MRI and says to me verbatim...

"how could you when your baby is breathing and has feelings and can hear everything we are discussing right now " "I could lose my license due to women like you who don't have good reason to have an MRI" "Your BABY may come out disfigured" "I am not comfortable committing murder on a baby because of you"

My husband who was with me and myself were absolutely gobsmacked by this. It's no easy decision for us, we just cannot cope with another. No further explanation, we just don't want to do it because our son comes first.

WIBU to complain or do I just accept that this is what I deserve for my decision to terminate?

I'm sorry you've had to go through this and well done on complaining.

Hopefully this will prevent someone else being in similar circumstances when at their most vulnerable.

Yes OP, you need to complain.
I am very sorry for what you are going through.
You absolutely should not have been on the receiving end of such biased, prejudiced comments.
This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional and is unacceptable.

If she thinks a 6 week embryo has feelings and can hear, she needs to retake her medical exams.

So another update- spoke to PALS who have also sent it to a higher board of complaints so hopefully something will be done and no woman has to have to go through their choice being scrutinised again.

I also posted this on Reddit and had A LOT of backlash from Prochoice person. I've attached one particularl message that I had from someone.

Its crazy in this time of age that women still can't chose what they want without others scrutiny

OP, ignore Reddit, it's mostly American anyway. I wouldn't give it the time of day. They also can't spell.
