Can I get toned and muscular without going to the gym

Ive had great results previously when using strength machines at gym but the only gym in my new town is rammed 😒

Ive downloaded the Fiit app on my phone and done 2 workouts with that so far but just wondering - will that be enough to get sculpted?

Martial arts is just as good as lifting weights, if not better, if you do a lot / practice them with a lot of skill and frequency.

Completely agree!..

A lot of people trying to sell you fitness plans lie about how they achieved their physique?

Absolutely! As do all those influencers and YouTubers and it often leaves people with unrealistic expectations. I think, having trained for a long time now that it's mostly down to knowing your own body, learning what it responds to best, and consistency. It's also about choosing exercise that you actually enjoy and that you'll stick to.

I am really keen to get a decent routine of weight training at home. I am eating well at the moment but got out of the habit of going to the gym. Ideally I want to be able to do short workouts regularly so I can around work. I do have a gym membership but really struggling woth motivation, got a lot of stress going on and by the evening I just dont want to go to the gym.

I am loving all the recommendations on here, I need to investigate further.

I've worked out exclusively from home from the past 18 months and have built myself a toned body using dumbells and kettlebells only ( did also invest in a weights bench)

Same. I work out 5 x a week on average and use a mix of kettlebells and dumbells. 20 min workouts and 30 min HiiT workouts also. I have a walking pad / running machine which I also use as well as on street walking. Completely feasible to get fit and toned without using the gym.

And, as others have said, your diet is key. I intermittent fast (eat between 12 and 8) since perimenopause hit and works for me. Not advocating it, just saying it's been a useful method for me.

Diet is definitely important. I've been eating low carb since my early 20s (i know it doesn't suit everyone), but it definitely works for me. I eat high fat/protein and always feel saciated. I've got very low body fat despite consuming high fat foods.

Ita great reading everyone's tips! Im enjoying the Fiit app. Ive cut out all junk food and have switched my carbs to wholegrain. I might consider going carb free but my issue is actually im pretty skinny but gather fat super easily around my middle. Ive stopped the nightly glass of wine and now only drink in moderation twice a week.

Im thinking about putting a resistance band around my thighs and doing abductions at my desk too 😂
