So upset about the killings. No investigation and victim blaming from the Trump administration. I see no hope for America. Trump will cancel the midterms possibly elections or will rig them. The most powerful western country - one we thought was our friend is dying
im so sad for the bereaved and do sad for the country

So you agree that you posted an AI fake image of an ICE officer pointing a pistol at Pritti and used it alongside a genuine photo from WW2 to create a false comparison.

Why do think this is acceptable?

Actually, when I first downloaded it, it wasn't flogged as ai generated. It genuinely looked like a cleaner version of the still that I have posted.

I don't think it is a fake comparison- the original stands on its own merit, I'm just not techy enough to change the meme. The ice officer is still pointing the gun at Alex who is in a vulnerable position and he still goes on to pull the trigger.

Of course it's a fake comparison! And to excuse using a fake AI image on the grounds of not being tech savvy should be a lesson to you in not believing in everything you see on the internet and not spreading misinformation intentionally or unintentionally.

You used an AI fake image of an ICE officer pointing a pistol at Pretti's head in the same pose as the genuine WW2 photo. This is deliberate misinformation.

Hell next time you may as well put a Jedi light sabre in his hands!

1dayatatime · 02/02/2026 21:37

@LlttledrummergirI

And just to clarify your point on the video still you shared. In the red circle of the genuine picture the ICE agent is not holding a pistol. In the fake image you shared he is holding a pistol.

Cant you see the deliberate misinformation that this creates?

Anyway, news from whatever the US equivalent of a Coroner is that Alex's death has been ruled a "homicide". So despite the bluster from some on this thread, this was murder. But what was anyone expecting when they forced a man into a kneeling position, pepper sprayed him, and emptied their magazines into him, continuing to fire as his body lay motionless upon the ground?

The ex-wife of one of the CBP agents divorced him after he became fanatically obsessed with firearms, amassing a collection of 25 guns of all shapes and sizes by the time that they split in 2021. Sounds like someone who peaked as a high school bully.

Good to see you're now posting within TGs.

The numbered questions are unclear but regarding one of the numbered '1' questions, no one was 'executed'. I have said repeatedly that no one should be shot but if you agitate in a volatile situation with armed officers sadly tragedies and errors will occur. Se also Babbitt Jan 6th riots.

Incase I've not made myself clear illegal immigrants and also those in a country legally whom have broken terms of their visas should be deported.

Local plods and their bosses should support officers doing this and not whip up hate and unrest. Which now seems to have sunk in so that's good, yes?

Officers who have to do this are not nazis or 'ICEstapo'. Equating it to actual atrocities is appalling and minimises the horrors of the Holocaust.

Hope that clear that up for you.

So, what you seem to have done here, is ignored basically all of my post (itself restating various points that have been raised and which you continue to ignore) - save for quibbling the use of the word "execution".

Incidentally, I have no idea what you're referencing in your continued comments suggesting that that the Minesotta state government are now supporting the "work" of ICE within Mineappolis.

Tbf, homicide just means "killed by another", it doesn't imply murder.

Though I do firmly believe that Alex Pretti was murdered, and that is probably the case for Rene Good, too.

Yeah i see 'ICEstapo' and just cba. Stop it. It does a real disservice to victims of the actual Holocaust. Just appalling,

Once again, wilful ignorance wins out. It’s easier to tune out, we understand that.

You are the only one fixated on the Holocaust. Your faux outrage over something that you are using to distract got old about 100 posts ago. Stop it. It’s appalling.

How about you tell us why you believe there is no comparison between 1930s, specifically the period of 1933-1938 Germany and the US today, specifically the rise of this regime?

I'm confused....

According to various sources (including Fact Checking sites and news outlets). E.g.:

https://www.snopes.com/news/2026/01/26/ai-enhanced-alex-prettis-shooting/

https://www.startribune.com/ai-image-of-alex-prettis-killing-is-the-latest-altered-photo-amid-ice-surge-in-minneapolis/601571325

The image that Littledrummergirl shared (which is blurry) is real, and its the "enhanced" versions that are AI generated and include hallucinations.

AI-enhanced images of Alex Pretti's shooting circulate online

Federal agents in Minneapolis fatally shot the 37-year-old nurse on Jan. 24, 2026.

Well, it seems most of the persecuted demographics in Nazi Germany were trying to flee the Nazis. I haven't heard of them following the Gestapo around with whistles.

Okay, so I just watched the video myself and while I can't do frame-by-frame on my phone (I'm having to contend with a brief delay between hitting "pause" and the video stopping) I was easily able to capture the below. I have slightly turned up the brightness, nothing more.

The exact screenshot that littledrummergirl is using is from the "stablized" version of the video, which reduces camera shake.

The "fake AI" versions are the ones where people have attempted to "clean up" the image, and include some hallucinations.

All to say, you owe Littledrummergirl and apology as, if anyone has been posting misinformation with regards to this image, its you.

So OK - so quite reasonably and rationally you are not against the deportation of violent criminal illegal migrants.

Two quick questions:
How do you feel about the deportation of illegal migrants who have not been convicted of any violent crimes?

How do you feel about protesters who actively prevent the deportation of violent criminals either by blowing whistles (to alert both those illegal migrants with and without a violent criminal record) or for example the following case in the UK:

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/victim-slams-passengers-prevented-convicted-rapist-yaqub-ahmed-deported-141035023.html

I know you were not asking me but I’m going to answer anyway.

I think that people who don’t have a right to remain should be deported. But I want it done in a fair and humane way. I don’t want the rule of law and basic human rights thrown out the window in the process. I think that if people trusted that there was a fair and effective process they would largely be on board with it. I’m fairly centrist in my views but I have concerns about how things have gone in the US and the threat of it happening here.

Some posters seem to have immigration at the very top of their ‘things that are important’ hierarchy to the extent that anything seems justified in achieving the desired result. Others like myself have a different take, but I believe my concerns about this are valid.

Gloriia · 03/02/2026 07:50

As an aside did we all see the award show in the US when a singer said 'you can't be illegal on stolen land' yet lives in a massive gated mansion with security?! Also to actually get in to that show they needed ID Grin There was security everywhere. I wonder if they make tits of themselves on purpose for the clicks. The irony and massive hypocrisy is lost on them.

Seriously - in the actual video clip there is no pistol in the ICE Agent's hand pointing at Pritti (clearly shown in my post below) whereas in the AI generated photo a pistol has been put in his hand.

Using AI to put a pistol in someone's hand is not cleaning up images - it's changing them.

As I said earlier does it need a bloody Jedi light sabre in his hand for it you to accept that this is AI generated misinformation .

Those using whistles are trying to protect those the government is trying to persecute. Unlike the Germans in 1933 it's much harder for tyrants to keep the population compliant thanks to modern communications.

History repeats in rhyme, not in verse.

Yes, I think that's the starting point of many in the US who oppose immigration enforcement and deportations. They believe nobody is illegal.

Yes unless they try to get into their fancy mansions or fancy shows then the virtue signalling suddenly vanishes.

Someone on the same show said they were a dc of an immigrant and everyone seal clapped. Do they really not understand legal immigrants are welcomed, it's the illegal queue jumpers who aren't?

Watching all these celebs coming out with this stuff is really dismal.

Back in the McCarthy era, American entertainers risked their careers to speak out. This lot are just parroting groupthink.

Hmmmm.

So Trumpists are all individuals.

"Yes, we are all individuals. "

Anyone opposed to Trumpism are parrots.

Maybe if people had done so things might have turned out differently. You need strength of numbers to stand up to an oppressor, the internet has allowed people to know that they are not alone in their opposition.

Do they really not understand legal immigrants are welcomed,

They really aren't. Not if you look at the way perfectly legal immigrants have been treated.

I used to follow the US 2nd amendment culture, and the pro gun folk would come out with this all the time. That the first thing the Nazis did was take the guns away, therefore by their logic, anyone trying to introduce gun controls were nazis.

Thing is, there were uprisings against the Nazis, with arms too, and they were brutally put down. Then there was the 1933 enabling act, but resistance did go on. And the Nazi answer was to go after the resistors family and so on.

Trump and MAGA do the same. Hunter Biden is an obvious example. He has done it to Judges too. "Judge H Daughter should be investigated", and "Renee Good widow should be arrested", and so on.

Relatives of his pals get plum jobs of course. Family of who he considers his enemies, destroy them.

ICE have deported legal residents.

Indeed, the Nazis deported German Jews, they just decreed that they were no longer German. Ohh, see what is in the news just now. Trump decreed that TPS for Haitians was to end. 350k people to be deported, because at the stroke of a pen, no longer legal.

But a Federal Judge has just blocked him on that, His next step ? Attack the Judge on social media would be my guess.
