Why has Cruz liked the dancing memes?

Bangbangtothebeatofthedrum · 21/01/2026 22:38

Yes, I know I’m over invested šŸ˜‚

Apparently Cruz Beckham has been liking a few of the VB dancing joke videos/memes on Ig

Does this seem odd?

He's her son, why should he not?

Because i saw them as poking fun at her? Or am I wrong?!

Because it’s funny! I would have to laugh. Probably because the word ā€œinappropriateā€ was used incorrectly and so everyone has an opinion on it or a joke about it. He probably knows it’s a bit ridiculous so if you can’t beat em, join em

PotteryChuck · 21/01/2026 22:45

Brand Beckham - he'll have been told to, to make a 'joke' of his brother's accusations. To minimise.

I think it’s funny too, but assumed she’d be upset, therefore he wouldn’t? Unless they’re not taking it that seriously in actual fact

Nah, they’ll be laughing at how ridiculous it is, OR pretending to to save face

So to minimise what he said ot their reaction? As in they aren’t that bothered and forgive him etc? That and Db saying you have to let kids make mistakes etc…lots of minimising going on

I’ve been watching videos on Ig of Bb and Np and all he seems to do is endlessly follow her around like a lost puppy or her assistant or something-weird

OP posts:
Summerlilly · 21/01/2026 23:12

It probably is to minimise it. Also some of the videos are hilarious.

There’s a rumour that was just a little nuzzle in his neck at the end of the dance and it wasn’t the even first dance, that Bb was making accusations about.

The media are currently ripping that statement to shreds and providing evidence. So CB probably finds joy in that and liking the videos because they are joking about something that may not actually be true.

allthingsinmoderation · 21/01/2026 23:13

Perhaps because he doesn't think his brothers claims are to be taken seriously .
Presumably he was present and witness the incident and recollections vary?

LunaDeBallona · 21/01/2026 23:17

While I’m sure VB is absolutely devastated at her sons massive disloyalty she is also quite self deprecating and doesn’t seem to take herself too seriously .
Sometimes in situations that are so painful & dark all you can do once you stop crying is to laugh at something/yourself .
Cruz, Romeo & Harper were at the wedding, saw the dance in question and are trying to laugh.
We know they are all big IG users -so the best thing they can do is laugh. That’s what I would be trying to do anyway!

Atlanti · 22/01/2026 00:00

It’s an orchestrated fight back.

They plan to bury him and humiliate him. Very sad the hatred runs so deep in this family.

BB will be punished for this by the chief narc getting his flying monkeys go put the boot in for him whilst he keeps his nose clean to make more ££££.

DB response was despicable. Own goal.

Celestil · 22/01/2026 00:23

From my work-based glimpses into the occasionally alarming world of celeb PR, and from what we see of the Beckhams, there will not be one single breath drawn on the public stage without it being part of a carefully constructed campaign of damage limitation.

Every social media 'like' that emanates from Beckham HQ - as they know - will be pored over for 'meaning.' There will have been long, long sessions of how to manage the situation. Every single squeak on social media will be orchestrated with an end goal in mind.

I don't actually think they want revenge on their own son, rather VB will be hell-bent on propping up The Brand and emerging as unscathed in the long-term as possible.

Although as my DH asked 'who on earth cares about 'Brand Beckham' anymore?,' and I agree that the whole Beckham Brand thing is a bit 90's/early 2000's. I like a couple of VB's cosmetic lines, but only because they're decent quality: I couldn't care less about 'The Brand.' Her target demographic and 'Brand Beckham' seem rather separate things.

As an aside, I saw VB at Wimbledon a few years ago, and I felt quite sorry for her. She wasn't watching any of the tennis - she spent the entire match posing in really bizarre ways, while DB completely ignored her.

Anyway, none of us really have a clue, do we?

ThisIsAGlobalPlayerOriginalPodcast · 22/01/2026 00:27

Am I the only one who cringes when people say ā€œrecollections may varyā€? It’s like because the queen said it they think it’s sooo funny and smart and original.

😬

It looks disrespectful towards his mother I think. It could certainly be seen that way.

It made me briefly wonder if this drama was staged.

You surely need everyone onside to orchestrate the likes etc? What happens if Cruz etc go off message after a few beers (?)

Brooklyn has said the dance was the worst thing ever to happen in his life. Mocking VB dancing memes doesn’t sound like the most measured or intelligent response.

For BB to state it as worst & most humiliating experience of his life means as his mother I’d pause & listen…If I valued my son.

Me too, not an intelligent or thoughtful response in the circumstances I think.

We don’t know the truth of what happened though.

It could have been nothing and he’s just trying to hurt his mother by exaggerating.

Or it could be something. That’s the thing we don’t know.

Gosh he could even have massive mental health issues and this is a complete breakdown.

He’s made a lot of claims and the truth will come out eventually. I do not believe there is not a video of this alleged dance.

Yes, all true. He’s gone from one dynasty to another with different rules & expectations. As you rightly say, time will tell. I’d still pause in any response & ask kids to do the same.

TrickorTreacle · 22/01/2026 01:56

I voted YABU because you used 'meme' as a throwaway term for something that is forgotten in 5 minutes time.

A meme is meant to be memorable, have a lasting effect e.g. Hampsterdance, Badger Badnger, Harlem Shake, All Your Base, First World Problems, Craiyon, Will It Blend, What Is Love, Dancing Baby, Nyan Cat. Something that can be remembered 20 years later, not 5 minutes later.

Jimpson · 22/01/2026 02:14

BB heavily implied that his mother was doing some sort of lap dance ā€˜on’ him. If that is true, then it is all beyond odd and the other son ā€˜liking’ memes is the least of the family’s problems.

This is what cracks me up about these types of threads on famous people - so many people acting like they know what's happening, what's been said, what they've "been told" to do..."
Unless you're part of the family - nobody knows!

Yes it’s the new, ā€œare you on glue?ā€. It was never that funny in the first place.
