To enjoy seeing moments when certain privileged men realise they can’t do whatever they want?

There’s something deeply satisfying about seeing reality check moments for men, especially when they’ve coasted through life assuming the rules don’t apply to them.
Often white, often privileged and often used to being centred and excused. Whether it’s getting called out for bad behaviour, not getting the job they assumed was theirs or finally being held accountable, it’s refreshing to see the entitlement not get rewarded for once.

AIBU to admit I enjoy those moments?

Glad to see Xmas spirit in action.

zipadeedodah · 17/12/2025 14:11

I take it you're referring to Paul Doyle?

HoneyParsnipSoup · 17/12/2025 14:13

I agree.

Often though any self reflection is lost on them and they just become angry and even more intolerable.

5128gap · 17/12/2025 14:16

I believe I would greatly enjoy such moments. Unfortunately I'm struggling to bring any examples to mind, as white male privilege does tend to cushion those who have it against most of the disappointments faced by those who don't.

No, I’m not referring to a specific individual or case. I meant the broader pattern of entitlement and lack of accountability that shows up in lots of everyday contexts - work, social settings, institutions, and the moments when that entitlement is challenged. I’m deliberately talking in general terms rather than about any one person.

Good for you OP! Where do you find these men, know so much about their character and have the opportunity to witness their disappointment?

My favourite video of such an instance.

That is quite something. I love when he shouts that they should call the police, who does he think he is surrounded by. What an evil manchild

Didnt have a troubled early life?

Ncforthis2244 · 17/12/2025 14:37

Maybe pour your energy into making your life better rather than applauding others failing?

Jealousy is very unbecoming.

omggggggg · 17/12/2025 14:39

🥱

canuckup · 17/12/2025 14:45

I agree with the OP.

It was raining on Andy's horse ride the other day, I have to admit to finding some joy in that.

And the fact that he's had his token 'titles' removed

The moment Greta Thunberg absolutely owned Andrew Tate springs to mind

His reaction is comical and pathetic.

I've got to say, when I watched this clip for the first time, I was so put off by how soft the police were with him. Like they were handling a toddler. Just put him on the floor and drag him away.

Imdreamingofapeacefulxmas · 17/12/2025 14:56

Umm I see a lot of privilege from men full stop from all nationalities

topcat2014 · 17/12/2025 15:04

I think the thing that shocked me about Doyle was that he had in recent years had a respectable middle class life, so not the cartoon feral scum idea of a criminal. We now learn about troubled early life.

Vegemiteandhoneyontoast · 17/12/2025 16:35

There was this guy who kept shouting "I'm a CEO, I'm intelligent, I have the best attorneys in the world and you're messing with the wrong human being" while trying to avoid being arrested. Horrible entitled man got arrested anyway.

I’m guessing you have news updates pinging into your phone this afternoon, @TheTaupeMoose?

It would be good to see certain priviledged people realise they can’t do as they wish, male or female. 👍

TheMorgenmuffel · 17/12/2025 16:47

I'll admit to a sly smile when a cunt gets a comeuppance.

The Mountbatten Windsor formerly known as Prince?

I never expected that to happen because as you say there’s a cushion….

What about Karens?

ErrolTheDragon · 17/12/2025 17:14

RT112 · 17/12/2025 16:52

What about Karens?

Quite often women being slurred as ‘Karen’s’ is because they’re pricking the pride of an entitled male.

moderndilemma · 17/12/2025 17:20

I once worked with a self-entitled arse. He thought he was God's gift to the universe.

One day he summoned me into his office "Don't tell anyone, but I've heard on the grapevine that our Director is leaving, and I'm pretty certain they're going to offer me the job. Nod and a wink between the boys, you know..."

Okay... except I'd had a meeting with the Board Chairperson 2 days before, and they'd offered me the job. They asked me to keep it quiet until they'd worked out how to square it with the several other people who assumed the job might be theirs.

The announcement was made and the self-entitled arse never spoke to me again. And left soon after. Said it was not in his plan to work for a junior or a woman.

I admit to feeling a bit happy about his reaction.
