My partner wants to get this and go halves on it, I’m open to it but don’t know if they’re any good or not - does anyone have a similar and can give me any feedback on it’s usefulness?

We do have a long haired cat and are always hoovering although we don’t mop anywhere near enough as we don’t have a mop 🙈

sorry for the boring thread!

I didn't get on with ours.
It caused chaos when it got tangled up in things or decided to hoover over the cats saucer of food. Also it was always getting stuck under the sofa.
And when it was doing what it was supposed to do the suction was poor.
Ours is now in a cupboard and the hoover is back 😞

On getting stuck. My Neato used to rise up on 'legs' to go over things, but one day I got a text from it saying 'help, I'm stuck!" . After hunting all over the house, I eventually found it, wedged on its side behind the wash basin pedestal in the guest toilet. To be fair, that vac cleaned everywhere, thoroughly. I miss it.

I have two long haired cats and the same vac and it's fine. A friend has the eufy one and is also pleased. Follow the youtube video on regular maintenance, as cat hair will get into the wheels and stop it from spinning.

My previous robovac was a non mopping Neato which was D shaped so could get into corners, but the company no longer makes vacs and has moved into robotics.

Tip - I add a little zoflora disinfectant to the water. It's non foaming.

Zoflora is toxic to animals unless it's fully dry.

wnyaadbify · 24/11/2025 09:08

Mine is useless but it is a cheaper model. It's a Lubluelu. It takes longer to move furniture and make sure everything is out of its way than it does to just hoover the flat with a normal hoover. It gets stuck all the time, doesn't do corners (so I have to do them anyway), it constantly stops and screams "roller brush is stuck", it loses its map on a regular basis and has to do a global cleaning when I just wanted it to do the kitchen, it mops but small amounts of water always end up in the dust box and make the stuff its collecyed gunky and stick to the box.

I actually hate it now. It just sits there. Sometimes I think I'll give it a chance but it just fucks up again straightaway.

Another model might be much better!

shuddacuddadidnt · 24/11/2025 09:08

Thanks for the warning @Cosyblankets.
I've been using zoflora for years without any problems so checked the Zoflora website and the problem appears to be with undiluted or incorrectly diluted product. I use about 1tsp to roughly a gallon of water.

boredwfh · 24/11/2025 09:11

I love my Eufy x10pro which hoovers & mops. 2 dogs, 2cats & hard flooring throughout the downstairs means we would have to hoover daily otherwise the dust balls gather. It’s made a massive difference & saved me so much daily time.

i’m the same although I am thinking of getting Dustin back out just to do under bed and sofa

I have a roborock (q5) and it's great, I bought spare mops so use a fresh one every time.

Yes you do have to tidy stuff like shoelaces but it's so good for keeping on top of stuff. You do have to clean it though!

Visions of War of the Worlds. How tall were its legs exactly?

saveforthat · 24/11/2025 09:36

I've had a roomba for nearly 20 years. Still going strong, had to replace the battery twice. They are great but high maintenance. Small dust box and you have to remove hair from brushes after each use. So you spend less time hoovering and more time maintaining the machine. The newer models may have bigger dust boxes etc. as no other pp have mentioned this. Not tried a robomop.

About 3 inches, so not quite War of the Worlds. 😅

Panda89 · 24/11/2025 09:57

Similar to a previous poster, we’ve had some horrific experiences with our Eufy spreading cat puke all over the downstairs floors 😂 we used to have it set up to go round at 6am before we got up, that was a mistake!

After the last incident we retired it for a while as it was really gross, but we actually just set it up again to go round at 8:45 each day so we can first check the floors are cat puke free.

I've put put bed, the sofa and the TV unit etc on feet so Henry 1 and 2 can get under everything every day.... The house is totally set up so they can't choke on cables and what not, but they do occasionally find a marauding sock or face cloth.

Simonjt · 24/11/2025 10:06

We have the eufy mop and vac, its brilliant, we also had a cat vomit horror so we set ours to start cleaning at 11pm when we’ve just gone to bed.

RabbitsEatPancakes · 24/11/2025 10:10

Love mine. I've a eufy- need to make sure whatever model you get has a methodic working pattern. Sorm of the older or cheap models just bounce around and miss a lot of floor.

I'm very anti mopping robots though, I think they're a bit gross, basically dragging a dirty wipe over your whole floor.

My hoover goes off at 1am every night and again after breakfast chaos when I'm doing the school run. Keeps the kids tidy too as they know he'll hoover bits up if they leave them out.

Mine is nice and low profile so he can live under the kitchen sofa although that means I have to manually empty him but I didn't want a big one that you see all the time.

Pomegranatemum · 24/11/2025 10:35

No pets here - just very messy young children!
Absolutely love our eufy pro omni. Wish I’d bought it sooner!
I can see how there would be problems with vomit, but that’s not an issue we have. We have to remove any food from the floor, but then it’s good to go. And personally I don’t think the mop is unhygienic, as PP suggested. The model we have has a self washing function and I think you can increase how often it goes back to base to wash the mop (ie, during cleaning as well as at the end).
I still do my own mopping every few days though, as the robot isn’t 100% thorough. But it’s definitely reduced my input.

Scroll down to the bit that says mop it.
It's on there they have to be away until it's completely dry

How To Use Zoflora & What Is It For? | Zoflora Instructions

Zoflora is an easy-to-use concentrated disinfectant that needs diluting in water. Use Zoflora to eliminate odours and kill 99.9% of bacteria & viruses.

shuddacuddadidnt · 24/11/2025 11:00

@Cosyblankets , thank you for pointing that out, but I didn't miss the dry floor bit. The floor dries within minutes as the mopping function is more like wiping a surface with a damp cloth rather than using a conventional wet mop.

Worriedmumma2025 · 24/11/2025 11:04

Recently bought this exact one OP. It’s a replacement for an older Roborock model.
it’s brilliant - only have to look at the dirty water that is produced to know it’s doing something. Floors look brilliant. We have a long haired cat.

only issues are you need to pick up any leads or wires and if your pet has vomited or whatever else on the floor then sort that first or it will drag it through everywhere.

I have the same model and it's awesome! It just so convenient, I have set it up so it starts cleaning everyday at the same time. Sometimes I have to re-do kitchen after cooking and I just send it there using a mobile app. It saves massive amount of time and the fact that floors and carpets are so clean makes it motivating to clean all other stuff.

I have a Lubluelu too and it is useless.
but I do also have 2x Eufys which are so much better and I wouldn't be without them `(I have a cat and dog)

I have a Roomba - with pets I have found it’s the only thing that keeps the dreaded moth at bay in London as it picks up the pet hair really well.

toastofthetown · 26/11/2025 09:01

Our Roborock arrived and I spent this morning setting it up! It’s done a good job of vacuuming the carpets and hard floors. Haven’t tried the mop yet but it’s on the base charging now so hopefully it will pick up some water when it’s there. It’s so much more quiet than I thought it would be. DH didn’t want one because his friend has one and apparently it’s really loud, but he’s been following Robbie around the house with lots of enthusiasm!

TicTac80 · 26/11/2025 09:52

I've got a Eufy vacuum/mop for downstairs and one for upstairs. My house is small, but I wouldn't be without them. I bought a cheap Eufy robovac years back and it was fab, but then upgraded to the X9 pro (now used upstairs), and then the Omni C20 (used downstairs). I gave the original Eufy to my friend (who loves it - she lives alone and has no DC or pets). I have hardwood floors through the house and quarry tiles in kitchen, hallways and bathroom. Living room has a giant low pile rug in it, and the Eufy does this with no problem. The floors always look very clean.

I've programmed them so that floors are mopped/vacuumed twice a day. I have 3 cats (I used to have 4) and 2DC, I work FT and these have been worth every penny (frankly anything that gets shot of some of the mental load is a good thing!). I bought them during sale times, but figured that this was my alternative to paying a cleaner (DB and DSIL have a cleaner come in weekly and me buying these two Eufy models worked out cheaper than them paying for a cleaner for a year).

Having them means that I only need to steam clean floors and do a whole house hoover once a week. I change out water as needed and empty hoover bins as needed. I bought spare mop heads/filters and swap them out weekly to keep everything clean. All very easy to maintain. Like @shuddacuddadidnt, I use a little bit of Zoflora (but I did use the Eufy cleaning solution until both models were past warranty)
