To think noone actually likes Love Hearts?

Sweet tooth moment and all we had were a packet of love hearts which I begrudgingly had a couple of, and once again pondered about who actually would choose love hearts as first option? They're like sweet and sour chalk...

Does anyone actually enjoy them except in dire emergencies such as the above? Are there any other sweets you can't get your head around?

Absolutely love Love Hearts. Actually love most Swizzels and had a Swizzels advent calendar one year, which was amazing.

My DD loved them as a kid. Probably still does but is too disciplined to eat sweets.

I am now in the mood for some Love Hearts

I'm sure the recipe has changed since I had them as a teenager. My DC got a pack at halloween but didn't like them. I chucked about 4 in my mouth at one time like I used to because I love sour and sherbety flavours. But as I crunched they all foamed up filling my mouth with froth to the point that I could hardly take a breath! I don't remember them doing this before. They seem to be less of a sherbety sweet than I remember and more like a Gaviscon or cistern tablet.

Love love hearts, swizlers and Parma violets. So deliciously fizzy.

I used to love Love Hearts. I remember them being sweet and fizzy. The last packet (from a kid's mix pack) were tasteless.

Parma Violets, like Turkish Delight, are a love or loathe thing.

I love them and Parma violets. I was supporting my friend who was running a marathon a couple of years ago and took a packet of love hearts and kept giving her one on the lap I ran with her. She thought they were great as she could let them dissolve and gave her a boost.

Me either! I like some more than others but very, very few I wouldn’t eat.

When I was pregnant with my second child I had such awful acid indigestion that I was literally addicted to them.
Ate packets of them.
Haven’t looked at them for 9 years.

I love Love Hearts, but Parma Violets are bath cubes in disguise.

I’d forgotten about refreshers that has brought back some memories my Granny always bought us a packet of refreshers happy times.
