Obviously AIBU but I'm seriously on the edge of doing it. They look VULGAR. They look like a bloody small penis and I've convinced myself it's why DH doesn't want sex with me (he says not, but of course he would say that).

I feel ugly. I look ugly (down there). I cannot afford surgery.

Labia are variable and are unlikely to put a grown man off having sex with a woman. Larger labia are often preferable as the man gets additional sensation.
I hope I’m right in thinking you’re not serious about damaging yourself and potentially causing a horrible infection.
In some tribes, women would stretch their labia and the longer and danglier the better. Not too comfortable for those of us who wear knickers and jeans though.
This sounds more like you are struggling with low self-esteem. Trust me, I have seen literally hundreds of labia and every single one has been normal and absolutely fine.

OP there's nothing wrong with having larger labia, and preference is very culturally specific. Where I grew up, women purposefully extend theirs to make them as large as possible as this is considered the height of sexual beauty.

Mine shrank after menopause and now I can barely find them. One side in particular used to hang an inch below the labia majora. You don't say how old you are but you might find the same if you're not post-menopause yet,
