Spiders

Just been to the loo to do what I needed to do - just sat down to do it - turned around to flush and there was an enormous spider in there - how did it get there - flushed about 6 times but the bugger kept on moving - shoved bleach down there in the end which seems to have sorted it - hate spiders - was I unreasonable to bleach it?

I live in the UK countryside and we had some huge ones, one ran across the bed one night, horrific!
I looked online and have used lemons and have only had one smallish one since. I cut them up to the size you would put in a drink, put them on window cills or bedside tables, never on the floor, replace when they go hard.

I hate to say this but most of the big spiders don't come in from outside. They're house spiders and live in the house behind skirting boards and other places.

Absolutely - I totally agree - but not down my loo - it’s mine - as I said up thread - i use a spider catcher but this one had already been tainted by me and would be flushed !

You realise spiders have no concept of toilet ownership?!

Unreasonable and kind of pathetic to bleach it.
