100s packages delivered to my house! Please help me!

LolaLouise · 06/11/2025 11:49

Every day this week ive had 10-30 packages delivered. They are the small a6 plastic bag packages. Each one is addressed to a different person with addresses up and down the country but they will only have a name, street name and town. No house number or postcode. Each package has a royal mail sticker saying “incomplete address”. The return address is a company name that does not exist from my attempts to find it. The first line and town on the return address is for my home. Every package then has a different return post code, however the first part is always correct for my address. The packages say “paid and printed” from TikTok. They contain 2 of the foam peanut packaging things. And thats it. I opened a couple as they felt empty. Nothing else within them.

Its do weird and random, its making me feel uneasy and quite anxious. I have no idea how to make it stop.

Any ideas?

no aibu, posting here for traffic and hopefully a solution

Are they fitting through your letterbox? If they are not then you can refuse them when they attempt to deliver. If they are being posted through the letterbox I'd be tempted to put them all back in a post box with a big line through the address and a not known at this address.

Yes through the letterbox. Sending them back gets rid of them but it doesn’t stop them arriving daily 😭

What is the so called company? It is very strange.

CarrotVan · 06/11/2025 11:56

Is it a brushing scam?

Pocketfulloflego · 06/11/2025 11:58

Are they being delivered by Royal Mail? Or can you spot the delivery company?

Bit random but could you put a letter on your door saying that all delivery companies are being filmed and anyone who continues to deliver mail not addressed to you will be reported to the police for harassment? (Not sure if this is valid but just an idea)

ShortColdandGrey · 06/11/2025 11:58

You need to contact Royal Mail and let them know so they can put a stop to them coming to you. Their customer services is 03457 740740

ComfortFoodCafe · 06/11/2025 11:59

Catch the postman and have a go at him for putting them through your letterbox when they arent even for your address.

Madcats · 06/11/2025 11:59

Report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040

A quick google suggests that this is done to generate fake "verified" reviews. They make it looked as if Joe Bloggs has received the item he is about to review as they can see that something was mailed to a residential address (just not Joe's and not the thing that Joe is about to review).

BauhausOfEliott · 06/11/2025 12:00

It'll be something like this.

I think the only solution will be to contact Royal Mail and try to get them to stop delivering the packages.

LolaLouise · 06/11/2025 12:10

It says “lillay superstore” then the next two are my street name and town, postcode diff every time.

Ill give royal mail customer service a call. Thanks!

Can you see if that Lillay superstore has an amazon or ebay shop?
Then you can report them to amazon or ebay for breaking their policy of generating false reviews (for the brushing scam) maybe?

NextOneb · 06/11/2025 12:18

Royal Mail customer service is horrendous. I doubt they will offer any help. In fact I guarantee you, that they will ask you to provide all 100+ tracking numbers before a human will even look at your query.

Royal Mail won’t do this. They fobbed me off by saying they have a legal duty to deliver post, so won’t intercept mail in this manner.

Vick99 · 06/11/2025 12:21

You should listen to Radio 4 'You and Yours' from 20th October - (episode called "subscription traps, online shopping scam and charity shops"). The programme had a big report on this problem and advice on what to do (sorry, I listened at the time but can't remember what the advice was!).

NotForTheMoneyandNotForTheApplause · 06/11/2025 12:22

I'm sure I've heard about this happening, not in a brushing scam type way though. I'll see if I can remember the details

But their duty is to deliver to the address in the item. As I understand it, that is not the OP’s address

The return address is the OPs - that's why they're ending up with her - the delivery address is incomplete, so Royal Mail are returning to the 'sender' which in this instance is given as the OPs address, even though she didn't send them.

It is - OP’s address is listed as the return address.

DiscoBob · 06/11/2025 12:41

It doesn't say her house number or her postcode or her name. In that respect it's no more meant to go to her than anyone else living in her road.

Definitely tell postman and ask why he keeps putting them in yours when it's not your address.

Fernticket · 06/11/2025 12:44

OP, I don't want to scare you but
As a previous poster has said this needs sorting ASAP, please listen to the radio4 podcast (also on BBC sounds). You need to contact Companies House, and let them know what is happening . They can then put a stop to it. It is becoming more common and these people could be using your address to get fraudulent loans for the this 'company' which you could find yourself liable for.

NextOneb · 06/11/2025 12:44

I think your best bet is hoping the tracking numbers are associated with a business account with Royal Mail, so Royal Mail can force the business to get the return address updated on their labels. Hopefully it’s just a case of a neighbour putting in the wrong address.

But from what you’ve said, the address as a whole doesn’t make sense. It seems Royal Mail staff have taken it upon themselves to deliver the parcels to you based on the first line of the return address. But maybe they should have matched addresses based on the return post code instead. Do any of the return post codes have street addresses that sound similar to your address? If none are similar, then I’d just assume whoever added your address as a return address did it on purpose to offload their shoddy business

Looks like it could be this? Lillay® (@lillaystoreofficial) | TikTok Not exactly the same, but 'Lillay' is an unusual spelling.
