100s packages delivered to my house! Please help me!

LolaLouise · 06/11/2025 11:49

Every day this week ive had 10-30 packages delivered. They are the small a6 plastic bag packages. Each one is addressed to a different person with addresses up and down the country but they will only have a name, street name and town. No house number or postcode. Each package has a royal mail sticker saying “incomplete address”. The return address is a company name that does not exist from my attempts to find it. The first line and town on the return address is for my home. Every package then has a different return post code, however the first part is always correct for my address. The packages say “paid and printed” from TikTok. They contain 2 of the foam peanut packaging things. And thats it. I opened a couple as they felt empty. Nothing else within them.

Its do weird and random, its making me feel uneasy and quite anxious. I have no idea how to make it stop.

Any ideas?

no aibu, posting here for traffic and hopefully a solution

Can you put a sign up saying that you are not Lillay Superstore and any packages so addressed should not be delivered to you

I'm sure I've heard about this happening, not in a brushing scam type way though. I'll see if I can remember the details

Im trying to remember another thread where a lady received several envelopes full of cut out pages from magazines and catalogues. Was that a brushing scam, if you did happen to see it too?

Catch the postman and have a go at him for putting them through your letterbox when they arent even for your address.

OP says the first two lines of the return address are her address, although the postcodes are wrong. She will have to contact Royal Mail to get them stopped earlier in the process as her postman is doing what they're meant to.

Call 101 for advice

Sassylovesbooks · 06/11/2025 13:13

I'd call 101 for advice and also report to Action Fraud. I'm not sure Royal Mail can help, but it may be worth speaking to their Customer Services. Royal Mail are simply doing their job, they're returning the mail to the return address. If the company is online, it's likely foreign based, rather than in the UK.

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 06/11/2025 13:14

One of those scams, I agree.

JustMyView13 · 06/11/2025 13:20

Address the to the company name at TikTok HQ, scrub through your name & address and start putting them back in the post system. I’m sure Tik Tok HQ will eventually get annoyed & close the account.

TheGander · 06/11/2025 13:20

It totally sounds like the scam which radio 4 You and Tours had an item on. I can’t remember the specifics but these people were getting big volumes of unsolicited parcels. Strongly recommend you listen to the link upthread.

exhaustedbeinghappy · 06/11/2025 13:31

I would bag them up and take them to your nearest Royal Mail sorting office (where you would have to go to pick up a parcel when a card is left) hopefully not too far from you. Speak to an actual human - I always find if I do the polite smiling direct approach whilst making it quite clear I’m not leaving till it’s sorted, seems to help in situations like this

Royal Mail customer service is horrendous. I doubt they will offer any help. In fact I guarantee you, that they will ask you to provide all 100+ tracking numbers before a human will even look at your query.

This.

ShortColdandGrey · 06/11/2025 11:58

You need to contact Royal Mail and let them know so they can put a stop to them coming to you. Their customer services is 03457 740740

Agree with this 👆 also call amazon up and tell them to investigate and stop this.

You should listen to Radio 4 'You and Yours' from 20th October - (episode called "subscription traps, online shopping scam and charity shops"). The programme had a big report on this problem and advice on what to do (sorry, I listened at the time but can't remember what the advice was!).

I came on here to say this.
It is a new scam, using a legit address for return packages.

If you look carfelly at some point in the last year you will have bought something from a similar/assocoated site and they have stolen your address.

having a legit UK address gives them better sales.

On the program they did suggest what to do, but I can't remember what it was!

Tdcp · 06/11/2025 13:55

It sounds like a brushing scam.
"In a brushing scam, an online seller (usually an international third-party on a major e-commerce platform like Amazon or eBay) uses publicly available or breached personal information to create fake orders for their own products, addressed to an unsuspecting person. They send an inexpensive or empty package to a real address to get a valid tracking number and a "delivered" status, which allows them to write a glowing review in your name as a "verified buyer". The empty parcels are simply a low-cost method to get proof of delivery. "

I would try to find them on tiktok and report them as well as letting royal mail you are a victim of a scam, they're usually pretty useless but if you say that they might be more helpful in stopping the parcels. Also, contact action fraud.

CuboidRectangle · 06/11/2025 14:03

Can you gaffer tape your letterbox so the postman has to knock and speak to you, then refuse to accept delivery? You can refuse delivery for anything.

Bellarose53 · 06/11/2025 14:36

Check your credit files to make sure your details aren't being used for some type of fraud.

Letsgetmilky · 06/11/2025 14:54

Post a screen shot of them all stacked up op?

LBFseBrom · 06/11/2025 15:13

Contact Royal Mail on their website, it's easy to do.

AngelicKaty · 06/11/2025 15:13

@LolaLouise This is a brushing scam OP - google it. Lillay Store is on TikTok (I'm not going to post a link as I won't give the fraudsters free publicity, but you can check for yourself) and this makes sense as you wrote in your first post "The packages say “paid and printed” from TikTok." So it's TikTok you need to contact as it's their platform that's hosting these CFs.

333FionaG · 06/11/2025 15:27

Definitely a brushing scam. Contact Actionfraud.

Parker231 · 06/11/2025 15:30

LolaLouise · 06/11/2025 11:55

Yes through the letterbox. Sending them back gets rid of them but it doesn’t stop them arriving daily 😭

Contact your post office to return them and request no further deliveries with incomplete addresses.

NoisyMonster678 · 06/11/2025 15:57

Contact the Police about this just in case its related to itentity theft involving your address.

PixieandMe · 06/11/2025 16:29

ComfortFoodCafe · 06/11/2025 11:59

Catch the postman and have a go at him for putting them through your letterbox when they arent even for your address.

Or just explain to him...

LolaLouise · 06/11/2025 18:57
