The press need to move on?

I wish the focus would move away from Andrew to the other individuals who were involved in the mistreatment of women trafficked by Epstein?

AIBU- to wish they would move on and widen their reporting?

The more the light is shone on Andrew the better.

ThatNiftyBlueSwan · 01/11/2025 21:50

I completely agree. I am sickened by the level of vindictiveness shown towards him . There are many other people in the world who have done far worse things but many people seem to be fixated on him .

ShenandoahRiver · 01/11/2025 21:52

@ThatNiftyBlueSwan
Are you not sickened by the covering for him by his mother? You know, the woman who was Head of State for over 70’years?

Fuck him.

He's not in jail.
He's not being trafficked or raped, unlike his and the rest of Epstein's victims.
He's not a vulnerable child.

He's an adult male abuser of teenage girls. A grifting, skanky, entitled rapist who has to move from a huge mansion with loads of staff, into a smaller mansion with fewer staff.

Fuck him.🤬

The focus needs to widen.

It does need to remain on Andrew, but it also needs to widen to include all other unsavoury contacts of Epstein's. Donald Trump for example. He is connected and shouldn't be getting away scott free. There are others I'm sure.

The focus needs to remain not just on Andrew but on what the Windsors knew and when.
The more I think about this the angrier I get

They knew about Andrew and Epstein for at least a decade!
They did next to nothing even after the BBC interview - in fact they initially smeared Virginia with an statement from the palace dismissing her and until recently they made repeated attempts to rehabilitate Andrew.
Andrew was still swanning around in his knight of the garter nonsense robes - he was still ‘honourable’ to the the Windsors

William at the the recent funeral covered his mouth to speak to Andrew. He’s fine with him.He was warning Andrew that cameras were around .

The Windsors have only acted now after more than a decade of knowing because WE know. We have the internet and Virginias book is international news and the leaks from the Epstein files showed Andrew lied to the BBC and months after he said he cut Epstein off Andrew was in fact emailing him , pledging loyalty and asking ‘to play soon’
I feel sick even writing that .

The Windsors would not have done a thing if it weren’t for the publicity.

We know that because they did nothing for a decade and only acted once the public knew .

And now we are hearing William is concerned for his uncles ‘mental health’

Bigger questions need to be asked about how this family acted and protected Andrew

That statement they made years back - something like they ‘categorically deny’ Virginia’s accusations. All the people disbelieving her because the royal family let people believe it wasn’t credible.

Ukisgaslit · 02/11/2025 09:38

@BeeWitchy

Yes - why has that point not been raised more widely??
The palace abused their position and privilege to try to make the accusations go away and now we are meant to believe that Charles cares about victims because he added a line to a statement after a decade of stonewalling questions and protecting Andrew

ChocHotolate · 01/11/2025 08:52

Yes I agree. His behaviour was despicable but he was far far from the only one. I want to know who else abused these young women and girls

No he isn’t but are the public bankrolling all the others ?

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 02/11/2025 10:50

I don’t think we need to move on- I think we need to keep pushing. This isn’t enough punishment if he has done what he’s accused of, he’s merely changed his title, moved from one free property to another free property in the countryside and is still not facing justice.

Losing your title and swapping one big house for another big house is being presented as equal to Maxwell’s prison time.

I bet the royal family really want us to all move on and stop asking questions about Andrew, move to thinking “right we’ve dealt with that one, on to the next”. He’s not actually been punished or forced to admit his guilt yet.

Ukisgaslit · 02/11/2025 11:07

It’s simple .
Andrew can help the police . The noise would stop then .
What’s he waiting for ?

Something else has happened though that people haven’t really commented on. I spend a lot of time saying ‘no-one is a prince ‘ ‘no-one is royal’

Looks like the Windsors accept that fact now too .

Andrew was a prince and now he isn’t a prince - all with a stroke of a pen - so it’s all made up nonsense - there s
is no special blood .

Can they do the rest of them now and save us a few billion over the next few years

Wow just wow. Which decade did you just appear from? It's views like this that minimise what her has done that need to change and are the reason for him staying in the press. Describing it as "vindictiveness" is pretty low.
