I feel the same way. It’s getting quite performative and spiteful now. There were numerous equally disgusting men who did equally vile things and are hiding in plain sight. It’s about time the spotlight extended to them.

Mandelson has got off lightly, he needs chasing out of the house of lords. They should all be in the press. No-one was calling for Meghan to be let up on, even when it was lies.

The reason salacious stories like this get so much coverage is that they generate a massive amount of web traffic, which is the only thing keeping the lights on in the news media world these days.

First social media, then the manipulation of search algorithms completely changed the way we consume news/journalism/content online.

Most of the stories your read on big news websites are no longer written or at least edited by journalists, they're done by SEO specialists to ensure that they perform well on Google.

The media have zero interest in 'sending a message' that people like Andrew aren't protected in the UK. As long as people keep reading, watching and searching for all the guff they put out about him, they'll keep publishing it.

If she has named them why isn't there media coverage? If she hasn't isn't that rather odd that he's the only one?

Do you really believe that Virginia's family are doing it for her? Where were they when she was being abused as a child? Where were they when she was abused by Epstein and a whole raft of other people? Where were they when she was abused ny her husband? Where were they when she was telling the media she'd been in a fatal accident? Where were they when she had her children taken off her? Why are they just focusing on Andrew? Why aren't they talking to the media about all of these other people and events that have happened to her? Why aren't they asking the public and the media to scour the world for the other people who she claims were abused along side her so they can back up her story and they can help them? They have been absent throughout her life until kerching there's money to be made in selling books and courting the media?

That’s my point - this story will only be in the press for so long, and the other suspected perpetrators might not get the coverage they deserve. There are 450 of them aren’t there? So if they get a month each individually, consecutively, it would take over 37 years to cover them all. Clearly that’s not feasible.

We know that. It’s about time a few more of them were exposed but they’re enjoying White House protection.

I'm talking in it's literally sense. I'm talking about him, as a fully grown man. He does not appear to be going after her family members who abused her (and would be a million times easier to bring to justice) but he is going after the very rich, famous, media worthy ex-Prince. Why is that?

Virginia had a horrific life pretty much since the day she was born. She has been surrounded by people who used and abused her. And that has not stopped now that she gas gone. The lawyers, the media and her family. All crawling out of the woodwork looking to make a quick buck. None of them are actually doing anything useful from a justice perspective. If they were, they'd stop wasting their time on going after Andrew and focus on easier targets.

I don’t understand the impulse to want to protect anyone but the victims and the people working to help them. Target the perpetrators. Not those who were victimised.
