I don’t think she took her own life - I can’t help but think she was murdered & it was made to look like suicide

Her mum and family were so calm when speaking outside the court and the guy only got 6 months 😳

StElwicksNeighbourhoodAssociation · 01/11/2025 01:21

I think not, I think she probably did take her own life under immense pressure from the shits that were pressuring her. I can't believe he only got 6 months. The armed forces are incredibly misogynistic and I doubt this is an isolated case.

Morecoombe · 01/11/2025 12:55

I think it was a revenge killing by people who knew how make it look like suicide

AutumnalCrows · 01/11/2025 13:05

I know it all stinks to high heavan, like so many other army 'suicides', notably involving the deaths of young recruits who have been horribly abused.

Morecoombe · 01/11/2025 15:04

TLDR, what does the mother say pls?

You started the thread, but can't be bothered to read the resource?

Not easy to read all that on my phone. Does the mother suspect then ?

Can’t believe no one else suspects

This is not true. I had a great time in the forces. My husband serves and is really well respected and liked. This is a really sad, incident that was badly managed and should not have happened but it must not put women off what can be a fantastic experience. There are mysoginistic men in all walks of life.

I couldn't comment about Jaysley, because we'll never know. However, what I do know is that things do get brushed under the carpet. I know because I, too, served.
One night, my bestie was being pestered by a guy that she'd had a brief fling with, but wanted out. She asked me to have a word, and tell him once and for all that she wasn't interested. I did, and was polite.... To which he basically nutted me, knocking me to the ground with blood pouring out of my nose. He was a military policeman. I reported it, and nothing was done. This was on the day that Charles & Di got married.
Basically, I just had to get on with it. No info was forthcoming. So yes, I know that sort of thing happens.
I was also subject to bullying, not talked to by the girls in my room/block because I was friends with someone they didn't like.
It's awful, but there was an end to it. I'm not sure how I would feel if it seemed there would be no let up, and it was relentless.
I feel for her, her family, and her friends

I wonder he and any of those horrible people are still alive now? They deserve to be shamed

Please don’t dismiss my comments because they are different to your own. My ex was an officer and I stand by what I said.

Notatallanamechange · 02/11/2025 10:19

i don’t think the OP has any good intention towards this young woman’s death. The comment to a previous poster and not bothering to read about the case speaks volumes.

There are major issues with the British armed forces, misogyny and the disgusting sentence this man has received. However a genuine thread, not started by someone just wanting to gossip and not bother to know the case, would be far more respectful of this young woman’s death.

MyNimbleBrickCritic · 02/11/2025 10:31

Conspiracy theorists are so odd.

Armychef30 · 02/11/2025 10:50

I am ex forces and believe that Jaysley took her own life, in the year 2016 to 2022 12 servicewomen committed suicide over half of those were found in an inquest that unwanted sexual advances were a contributing factor into their suicides. I talk to Jaysleys mum occasionally as I am also campaigning for change on change.org. The strength that she shows every day is incredible, she is now her daughters voice and I believe she won't stop until significant changes are made. She receives messages from servicewomen daily giving encouragement and also to tell her they are also experiencing the same behaviors towards them as Jaysley had experienced.

Jayley was also extremely drunk at the time she took her life.

As many people who take their life are.

Armychef30 · 02/11/2025 11:33

She was but also non of us were there so can't really speculate , also we are all entitled to have our opinion based on our own experiences

There was an official inquest which you can view online.

Where numerous people involved were interviewed, the details were examined by Police and the coroner gave a verdict of suicide.

You can have an opinion but it's daft to think you know better than the official, legal inquest.

Armychef30 · 02/11/2025 13:59

And where on my thread have I said I know more??? I haven't just stated my own beliefs and experiences which I am perfectly entitled to have ,have a nice day

Armychef30 · 02/11/2025 14:00

And also the inquest which I mention are all 12 of the suicides

AffIt · 02/11/2025 14:01

Hanging is statistically an unusual form of female suicide.
