I don’t think she took her own life - I can’t help but think she was murdered & it was made to look like suicide

Jayley was also extremely drunk at the time she took her life.

As many people who take their life are.

How do we know she wasn’t forced to drink alcohol- or tricked…all part of making it look like suicide…

Hanging is statistically an unusual form of female suicide.

Yes another sign that this was possibly murder not suicide

i don’t think the OP has any good intention towards this young woman’s death. The comment to a previous poster and not bothering to read about the case speaks volumes.

There are major issues with the British armed forces, misogyny and the disgusting sentence this man has received. However a genuine thread, not started by someone just wanting to gossip and not bother to know the case, would be far more respectful of this young woman’s death.

I don’t think you know what you’re talking about

Conspiracy theorists are so odd.

You’re odd, probably why no one likes you

I know it all stinks to high heavan, like so many other army 'suicides', notably involving the deaths of young recruits who have been horribly abused.

It really does stink doesn’t it. I’ve read various articles & my gut feel is this was a professional hit. Unfortunately so professional it can’t be proven. But if I were her family I’d want further deep investigation . No stone unturned.

I do have knowledge of this case from within the Army. I won’t deny that the forces have problems within their fairly closed environment but put any group of people together and the same will emerge. Domination and sexism are traits that existed over many centuries and won’t disappear overnight just because others say such attitudes are bad.
But part of the issue is the clamour for equality, meaning mixed sex accommodation, socialisation across the soldier (or officer) ranks, with young soldiers that have little life experience receiving little mentoring, all together forming the ongoing problem. Imagine placing an average 18 year old amongst a group of strangers - sink or swim? Imagine they’re a very pretty girl unused to overt male attention? Someone flattered by contact with a senior? It goes on throughout life. But the hot-house of barrack accommodation accentuates these things.
Jaysley’s death is another tragedy. But similar happens across life as people are fallible.
By the way, suicide by hanging isn’t that rare amongst females. Fact.

100% agree

And even if it wasnt, a man caused her death, thats manslaughter

6 months is laughable

I offer no excuse for the lenient sentencing, other than there must have been guidelines followed by the judge, as in all cases.
