I was out walking my dog earlier today and fell over. I slipped going downhill on some soggy leaves. I smacked my left hip/buttock area quite heavily and also hit my knee on a rock. It now hurts in both hips to take a deep breath, it hurts to walk, I can’t sit comfortably and my knee is in quite constant pain. I’ve taken paracetamol and ibuprofen and they’ve not touched the sides of it. I’m quite worried I’ve done something significant

No break! Just a deep bruise. They’ve said to give it 6-8 weeks and if it’s not any better then, to go back and they’ll organise an mri. But they think it’s just a deep bruise

Great news! Back home to the dog, plenty of pain relief and hopefully you’ll be fine.

That's the one. I was so relieved when she finally updated!

Ah wow, I never knew how that turned out-thank you!

I think it's more a case of people should be seeking medical attention in the right places. There's no way of checking anyone's qualifications on here, anyone in need of medical advice should be calling 111 not posting on Mumsnet.

People post for the connection, when they're worried. It's understandable.

posting anti help seeking advice is actively harmful.
