So many times I see people write this, and I bet that they are no more than 65.

It's all relative. I definitely am on the old side, will soon be 76. However I generally don't think about it and mention it only if it is relevant to the conversation or what I am doing

I will say it is quite nice :) (as long as I keep healthy of course).

I’m 46 and sure as hell don’t feel “old”. I feel exactly the same as I did in my early 30s before kids. In fact I’m probably fitter now than I was back then, mainly due to good amounts of sleep and less hedonistic living!

My parents are 78 and 75 respectively and I don’t think of them as old (nor do they think of themselves as old) either but I think it is very much down to whether you’re able to remain active as you do age. My parents have friends well into their 80s who are still going on dancing holidays and hiking the south downs.

It’s also hugely dependent on when in your time you’ve started a family. I probably felt “older” when I was balls deep in toddlers because I was sleep deprived and it was harder to carve out time for me.

But I’m also hugely lucky to not have faced any chronic or life threatening illnesses thus far.

I’m 45 and in some ways do very old. Perimenopause is kicking my butt & I’ve constantly fatigued. Both my parents are dead (my mum died many years ago). I’m thinking about semi retiring in 10 yrs 🤞 Feel mentally exhausted by it all.
