30 rooms?
Shocking.

Because they're utterly obsessed with H+M and frame everything around their obsession. The Royal Family topic is full of absolutely lunatic posts. It makes for very amusing reading.

I do find it extraordinary that a character as odious as Andrew is even remotely compared to any of the others. Some unproven gossip or foolish behaviour seems to be on a par with getting the Lolita Express to Epstein's Island.
I can never work it out. Lunacy indeed.

SnowFrogJelly · 22/10/2025 10:26

It’s ridiculous.. should be turned into a homeless shelter

Ukisgaslit · 22/10/2025 10:39

The Windsors protect Andrew for two main reasons :

  1. they see nothing wrong with exploiting the plebs - these people are the literal embodiment of ‘entitled’
  2. Andrew’s knows where the bodies are buried - remember when there was a whisper of Andrew writing a book? - it all went quiet about removing him from his 30 room mansion then
janamo · 22/10/2025 10:44

I think the Royal Family Brand is well and truly tarnished now.

Well, the minute I think of any of them, all I see in my mind's eye is unearned wealth, entitlement and well, they don't do much for us do they, unlike the Romans!

I think you're right, it's very definitely a tarnished brand and I have no idea how they can come back from this. Love your Romans analogy 😄!

Jesus don't you people ever give it a rest? Likening Harry to the Nonce and Future King is deranged.

Quite some people are so obsessed with H&M they have to shoe horn them into every thing.

OverlyFragrant · 22/10/2025 10:58

Well, I know where we can stick some boat migrants now.

Ukisgaslit · 22/10/2025 11:01

I don’t see the Windsors as ‘tarnished ‘ - that implies they were once shining examples

No- they were always corrupt and the whole fairytale was a manufactured pack of lies .
People are seeing the truth now

Sadly a lot of people are still defending all the RF (except H and M in most cases) and are describing the Andrew business as a witch hunt. I find it especially upsetting when this is said by women

Ukisgaslit · 22/10/2025 13:06

It is upsetting @Iwantmyoldnameback

It also makes Harry’s claims of victimisation and stitch ups even more credible ! You’d think that would give royalists pause if nothing else

GasPanic · 22/10/2025 13:15

A lot of people have stuff they don't need. Range Rovers. 65" TVs. Skiing holidays. Massive houses with empty bedrooms. What limits people generally is money.

In fact you really don't need very much at all. What you want. That is a different matter.

Ukisgaslit · 22/10/2025 13:18

Yes @GasPanic but they aren’t all supported by the tax payer and above the law

It's far from being clear that he actually is though.

He may have been in the past, but it is not clear that he is now.

Ukisgaslit · 22/10/2025 14:18

@GasPanic

All of the Windsors are supported by the taxpayer . All of them .
The crown estate is ours .

When the Tories changed the payments to the Windsors from the Civil list to the Sovereign grant they helped confuse the true nature of the financial arrangements. You will see see royalists trying to argue that the royals own the Crown estate and are handing money to us ! The name doesn’t help of course
Charles and Elizabeth had been pressing for the change for years and years
One other change which the Windsors pressed for was no more annual debate in parliament re the amount of money flowing from us to the Windsors .
Guess how many more millions the Windsors are taking now

He’s hardly alone in having a massive house though, why does anyone need 8/ 10 bedrooms plus , unless you have a very big family, but many exist and no one seems to say anything about them

Edited

We don’t pay taxes to keep the others!

Ironically, the families with loads and loads of kids tend to be the ones cramped up into much, much smaller dwellings.

They don't have a dedicated bridge room or orangery to repair to.

@Asunciondeflata
”Why mock William's efforts? At least he's doing something”

You clearly haven’t been paying attention .
William does so little his own Aunt Anne has publicly complained about his laziness .

William has done nothing - the only thing he does is try to improve his increasingly poor image . He helped in the attempted rehabilitation of Andrew - then a few days ago tried again to garner good publicity for himself by claimed he’d strip Andrew’s titles . Hoping people wouldn’t remember William’s past

I find William very cold and calculating .

I am absolutely no fan of the royals whatsoever; however I suppose, from the pov of the ones who are actually destined to become the monarch some day - and it will last until the day that they die - they maybe see their earlier life as their retirement in reverse!

Ukisgaslit · 23/10/2025 08:26

@SprayWhiteDung

Hmm

He’s in his 5th taxpayer renovated home ( each one trumpeted as the ‘forever ‘ home lol) and he has refused to confirm IF or HOW MuCH tax he’s paying on the Duchy scam .

William is taking all the perks and offering next to nothing - and he’s quite clearly not intending to much more than the insultingly tiny amount he does now !
He has stated he’ll be a zoom king

Williams laziness is on him.
That’s not what needs to be properly investigated . We need to know what the Windsors knew and when .
William was part of several attempts to rehabilitate Andrew . He’s up to his neck with the rest of them

Gloriia · 23/10/2025 08:32

janamo · 21/10/2025 19:12

He must be quite envious of his younger brother Eddie over there in Bagshot. How many rooms has he got in his house,120 or something? And the rest of them with houses here there and everywhere with cottages, staff lodges, stables, garages, acres of grounds, swimming pools, polo grounds the lot.

But I suppose they are entitled to it all since they worked so hard to achieve that wealth. 😉

Peasants they are not!

I must admit it does shine a light on the whole bunch of them living in massive places. If both his brothers and sister do I can see why he thinks he is entitled to.

They all need to read the room amd downsize a bit.

blackbunny · 23/10/2025 08:37

PassingStranger · 21/10/2025 18:09

30 rooms?
Shocking.

Because of his massive ego and sense of entitlement. If Charles were to end his tenancy( I understand that by letting it fall into disrepair Andrew is breaching the terms of the tenancy) he’d gain much respect.

randomgeneratedusername1 · 23/10/2025 08:38

Makes hide and seek fun 🫣

Dexterrolledoffthesofa · 23/10/2025 08:47

No, I quite agree with you.

Just thinking about how they maybe 'justify' doing very little for a long time before they become king or queen - from their already extremely privileged position, of course.

Then even when they do become monarch, they do very little of actual importance.

They and their sycophants like to insist that they work so hard and tirelessly in ruling and steering their beloved country; then when people who are fans of democracy start asking very justified questions as to how their position and succession-by-birthright can even possibly exist in a country that claims to be democratic, they wail about how they're only ceremonial and don't really have any power - they only dress up in fancy costumes and sign off what parliament tells them to - so why do we actually need them at all?

Ukisgaslit · 23/10/2025 08:51

All of ‘their’ properties and financial arrangements need to be put under proper scrutiny.
It is just pathetic that they aren’t . It makes the UK look ridiculous- and corrupt !

There is no comparison with European monarchies - they would not dare have a coronation . That we continue with the coronation pantomime leads directly to Andrew in his mansion paying a peppercorn rent/ to Charles accepting a bag of cash / William refusing to provide any information about how much tax free money he takes from the Duchy

It’s a straight line from the shiny hat nonsense to Epstein photographed in the throne room in Buckingham palace.
The Windsors are corrupt and untouchable

I hear talk of a select committee investigating. Well a select committee a few years ago tried to investigate the financial dealings of the Duchy and asked many questions and were fobbed off and ignored . Nothing further was done

There is a groundswell of feeling about this and politicians need to do better

springintoaction2 · 23/10/2025 08:54

@PassingStranger I put YABU because he obviously NEEDS 30 rooms because he's a rich bastard who has never known any different. Bless.
