And there's no convincing me otherwise.

AIBU?

Give me a man in worker boots, the pants with all the pockets and calluses on his hands any day of the week 😍

No shame in saying I have a type and it's absolutely manual labourer.

Oooh me too. I think even relatively plain men become a lot more attractive if they are wearing tradie clothes 😍

Jugjug · 17/10/2025 12:47

I prefer a professional man lawyer or doctor like but one who hits the gym in his spare time so has a good body. I want intelligent conversation

and before someone calls me a snob I’ve read enough Mumsnet threads to know I’m in the “underclass” didn’t even make the working class haha

Grin @nomas

Don't worry, they're out there! @Slightyamusedandsilly

Not so sure about the type of blokes who are labourers on sites but a fit, intelligent and skilled self employed tradesman with all his tools can be a delightful sight to behold.

5128gap · 17/10/2025 12:48

I don't like pale indoor men much and i find the well kept hands of the office worker deeply unattractive. However once men reach a certain age, a gentler lifestyle and more cash to throw at thenselves tends to be kinder on the appearance than 40 years of hard graft.

Patrick Bateman from American psycho without the murder maybe

MrsSkylerWhite · 17/10/2025 12:51

Tom Hardy isn’t working class. You apparently like posh blokes, too.

WiseSheep · 17/10/2025 12:51

Personally, at the risk of being wrong, I'd say tradies within a certain age bracket are the most attractive. Physically at least. So OP I do agree with you insofar as these are working class jobs but don't agree as certainly not all working class men are in the trades.

OriginalUsername2 · 17/10/2025 12:52

A bit rough around the edges? Me too.

Comeonbabylightmyfire · 17/10/2025 12:52

User3365237 · 17/10/2025 12:36

I'm talking about the rugged types on building sites etc. Intelligence and class are entirely separate.

Which is confusing as your post is about being attracted to a particular class.

HoppingPavlova · 17/10/2025 12:53

Maybe be you are thinking in 20’s/30’s for certain trades. Come back about that once a hard graft labourer is in his 60’s, it generally ain’t a pretty sight.

Sal820 · 17/10/2025 12:53

Oh god if by working class you mean works on a building site then no thanks! I like an ounce of intelligence. There's also nothing less attractive to me than farmers who work 24/7 and literally can't think of anything beyond the farm.

And Danny Dyer? Rough as a bag of nails if you ask me, not that I could get past his voice. Not aged well at all IMO.

Yes, they start off 'a bit rough around the edges' and end up just 'rough'. Being out in the sun all day every day tends to age you very badly.

Pleasegetmeacoffeesotired · 17/10/2025 12:45

That sounds like all the middle class men, I've ever met.

Ha! This perfectly describes “Yacht Boy”, a posh bloke all my friends fancied.

Twistedfirestarters · 17/10/2025 12:55

I can't say class has ever factored into attraction for me.

menopausalfart · 17/10/2025 12:56

@User3365237 Your question depends on what you're attracted to.

Mushroo · 17/10/2025 12:56

Not for me.

I can see the appeal for the Diet Coke advert window cleaner man, but irl I hate tattoos and vapes, which probably rules out quite a lot of tradesmen!

Ideal celebs would be Tom Holland or Tom Hiddleston.

User3365237 · 17/10/2025 12:39

Tom Hardy (and dare I day it, Danny Dyer).

Walking Glancing GIF

I was on board with you until you decided to come out with Danny Dyer.

teacupzs · 17/10/2025 12:57

How does class influence one's face?

Jamesblonde2 · 17/10/2025 12:57

The working class men are more likely to be able to roll up their sleeves and do manual/physical tasks. So that in itself is attractive.

Baking in the sun all day vs sitting in an office all day

I'm with you with Tom Hiddleston, but Holland? You don't think he looks like a child?

teacupzs · 17/10/2025 12:59

Tom Hardy (and dare I day it, Danny Dyer).

The Tom Hardy who went to private school?

reversingdumptruckwithnotyreson · 17/10/2025 12:59

teacupzs · 17/10/2025 12:57

How does class influence one's face?

I suppose there’s an argument to be made in terms of physical shape, etc. due to types of jobs, hobbies and so on. Plus the way someone carries themselves can probably also be traced back to their upbringing, I can (sort of) see where OP is coming from.

User3365237 · 17/10/2025 12:59

@Comeonbabylightmyfire My point is just because someone is working class doesn't mean they're thick, as a few posters seem to be implying.
