Never used to like Crocs, and had no desire to wear them. Saw no appeal.

That was until I got Plantar fascilitis.
They are the only shoe I find comfortable, so now wear them and are thankful they exist.😀

Skechers. They are so ugly, I never imagined owning any. I do quite a lot of walking and I was persuaded to try their ‘go walk’ line. Game changer. Now I love them.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 06/10/2025 20:50

Onesie. Perfect for post workout slumming.

Kreepture · 06/10/2025 20:50

Non wired bras.. i can't stand wires now, so bloody uncomfortable.

ThorsMistress · 06/10/2025 20:53

Crocs here too! I absolutely love them! 😂

PrincessHoneysuckle · 06/10/2025 21:01

Black.When I was teens,20s and early 30s I hated it,said id never wear such a miserable colour.Its mainly what I wear now!

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 06/10/2025 21:09

Sports bras. I was always under the illusion that they were uncomfortable but I couldn't have been more wrong. Now I just shove em in and go. And I have a better shape, next to no back pain and excellent support as a bonus.

Redheadedstepchild · 06/10/2025 21:10

Just to buck the trend towards comfy clothes, I have, recently, under duress, had to wear:

A proper grown up suit jacket/blazer.
A scarf that had knotting patterns/fabric origami known only to secret societies or The French.

I think I got away with it.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 06/10/2025 21:11

Bikinis.

I have a long torso, and after decades of wedgies, I thought ‘fuck it’ and bought a bikini. What a revelation. Comfy, and nobody has died at the sight of me.

TheChosenTwo · 06/10/2025 21:13

Birkenstocks - so good for my back although even I admit they are chronically ugly looking!
Ugg Tasman slippers - bought for when we go away in the U.K. and the houses don’t have underfloor heating and hard floors 😂 niche but happens a couple of times a year in the colder months, I can’t abide a cold floor. I wouldn’t be seen dead in them in my own house so they were a rather expensive purchase for a very first world problem!!

I'm so sure I remember Sketchers being considered super cool in the late 90s/early 00s and now I believe they are considered ugly granny trainers. Wonder when this changed.

Catterbat · 06/10/2025 21:16

Long white cotton Victorian-style nighties.
With crocs.
(not down Asda but give me a couple more years)

Perfectlystill · 06/10/2025 21:17

Flesh coloured bras
tank tops

Melancholyflower · 06/10/2025 21:17

Exacty the same OP! I now literally step out of bed into my Crocs, so I'm not walking in bare feet and, touch wood, the PF has been kept at bay.

InfoSecInTheCity · 06/10/2025 21:18

Fluffy lined crocs, I kind of hate that I wear them but they’re so comfortable and easy to slip on that it negates the hatred.

Flopsy145 · 06/10/2025 21:21

Birkenstock sandals, was avidly against them. Now I love them

bungobungobungo · 06/10/2025 21:23

oldFoolMe · 06/10/2025 20:44

Full breifs in a size up!

Me too - I use them for after my Aqua class when it’s a struggle to get dressed while slightly damp!

Darner · 06/10/2025 21:24

Long above ankle socks with gym leggings. I was welded to my trainer socks. But I have gone over to the side of the youth and I like it!

Fibrous · 06/10/2025 21:25

TwoBagsOfCompost · 06/10/2025 20:31

Oh god yes I forgot about this! Game changer for travelling, so soft and comfy and cosy, but I still think they look ridiculous 😭

Yeah they look awful but great for a hot crotch or haemorrhoids! The unexpected joys of getting older. I do also use them for their proposed yoga application.

Probably not long after "10 Things I Hate About You".

Bianca: That's the difference between like and love. I like my Skechers, but I love my Prada backpack.
Chastity: But I love my Skechers.
Bianca: That's because you don't have a Prada backpack. (sad face)

Simplestars · 06/10/2025 21:27

Elasticated trousers
Big knickers
Slip-on sketches

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 06/10/2025 21:36

JustJani · 06/10/2025 20:45

Leopard print! Thought it was just for Coronation Street barmaids, but have somehow become quite partial to it in my middle age.

Same here, I bloody love it now!

GloryFades · 06/10/2025 21:38

Anyone who likes Crocs, you should look at barefoot shoes. All my shoes are as comfy as Crocs.

lljkk · 06/10/2025 21:41

Back in the 90s.. .took me a long time to come round to wearing leggings. Too revealing of the butt shape for my liking.

Aha, thank you!
I have definitely seen 10TIHAY but remember absolutely nothing about it.

Crocs too! I have end stage ankle arthritis as well as back issues and they are the most supportive and comfortable shoe for me.

Pretty much everything in my wardrobe. Leggings, high waisted jeans, big pants, bright knitwear, Ugg’s, long sleeve nighties. 2002 me would be cringing.

I tried loads of expensive things for Plantar facilitis and exercises and insoles.
Found relief in a pair of Asda Crocs at 8 pounds. Sometimes it's the simplest things.
