Never used to like Crocs, and had no desire to wear them. Saw no appeal.

That was until I got Plantar fascilitis.
They are the only shoe I find comfortable, so now wear them and are thankful they exist.😀

I regularly nip to the corner shop in my slippers. They’re fake Ugg style but that hardly redeems me.

OnTheJourneyOnwards · 06/10/2025 20:00

I very nearly bought UGGS. I tried them on. They are so ugly but so comfy!

CoralOP · 06/10/2025 20:01

Definitely huge pants! I remember I used to wear g strings only, I means what the hell was I thinking!

coxesorangepippin · 06/10/2025 20:03

Adidas trackies

My life

Twoshoesnewshoes · 06/10/2025 20:05

Also crocs!
I still hate them and think they’re the ugliest thing, but now we have a camper van they are just necessary for morning trips to the loo.

FateReset · 06/10/2025 20:10

High waistbands on everything! I used to hate anything high on the waist, until I had a c-section after 2nd baby. Didn't really get into high waisted jeans, leggings and trousers until I had radical hysterectomy for endometriosis 2 years ago. Suddenly high waists just felt natural, comfortable and suited my shape. And of course they don't rub on the scars.
Can't imagine wearing low waistbands now. I wore some old 'hipster waist' pj pants the other night, had to change in middle of night as kept tugging them up! Chilly too.

DuckWithOneWing · 06/10/2025 20:13

Brightly coloured and patterned leggings! I used to spend ages looking for ones that were mostly black but with the slightest splash of colour. Now I own many with various bright patterns on and I wear them to the gym and Pilates regularly.

I love my Crocs too ❤️❤️❤️ Although I used to swear blind I'd not be caught dead in them 😭🤣 Same for Birkenstocks 😬

harem pants.

Oh god yes I forgot about this! Game changer for travelling, so soft and comfy and cosy, but I still think they look ridiculous 😭

DavidKeanu · 06/10/2025 20:32

Massive, massive full briefs from M&S, the type I watched my Nan buy in her late seventies.

Wide leg jeans.

But it's still no to anything wet look, crocs or socks over leggings.

mellongoose · 06/10/2025 20:35

God, just reading this thread makes me feel comfy!

JaquelineHide · 06/10/2025 19:34

Sketchers slip ons. So easy to just...slip on.

Same. After spending last winter trying to balance to take my shoes on and off while holding baby DS I bought myself a pair of slip-ins when the weather got too cold for flip-flops. Game changer.

CheeseWisely · 06/10/2025 20:39

Oh yeah and mega-pants. I bought a couple of packs of massive briefs for post-birth and still wearing them daily 16 months later, despite having treated myself to some lovely lacey sets when I finished breastfeeding. That’s life now. Soz DH.

ToLoseWeightAndNotMyMind · 06/10/2025 20:40

Crocs too

FlyingUnicornWings · 06/10/2025 20:40

Can we all just agree that Crocs are cool and be done with it? 😆

BlueEyedBogWitch · 06/10/2025 20:41

Big knickers
Crocs
Uggs
Dungarees
Leggings
Dry Robe
Fleece
Thermal base layers

Sorry I’m such a sex goddess, I can’t help it.

TheDandyLion · 06/10/2025 20:42

Cardigans. But only ever at home, I'd never leave the house in one.

CheeseWisely · 06/10/2025 20:43

And dungarees! I’ve fully embraced toddler-mum life with my slip-ins, mega pants and dungarees. Couldn’t give two tosses what the younger Mums at playgroup think in their barrel legged jeans and NB trainers, or socks over leggings, with NB trainers. Probably wearing thongs too, poor loves.

I’ll continue to resist crocs though. For now.

oldFoolMe · 06/10/2025 20:44

Full breifs in a size up!

JustJani · 06/10/2025 20:45

Leopard print! Thought it was just for Coronation Street barmaids, but have somehow become quite partial to it in my middle age.

HazelBeeZee · 06/10/2025 20:46

Crocs too! I have end stage ankle arthritis as well as back issues and they are the most supportive and comfortable shoe for me.

Pretty much everything in my wardrobe. Leggings, high waisted jeans, big pants, bright knitwear, Ugg’s, long sleeve nighties. 2002 me would be cringing.

Off topic, sorry, but how are your endo symptoms now? Did you go private or NHS? I'm researching a consultant for the same procedure!

billandtedsexcellentadventure · 06/10/2025 20:47

Leggings

dicdicnurse · 06/10/2025 20:48

Definitely crocs! Love mine despite ridiculing them for years. So comfy and multifunctional 🙂

Snippit · 06/10/2025 20:48

White leather trainers
non padded bikini top
leggings, love them
