Nearly 500 arrested for support for Palestinian Action Group a proscribed terrorist organisation

NototerrorismIntheUK · 05/10/2025 09:16

This is getting ridiculous. The same group, think they can do what they want which includes, using a sledgehammer to attack a person, breaking into a military base and causing millions of pounds worth of damage. Hatred towards Jewish people.

It appears these people feel the law doesn't apply to them. None of the above is peaceful protest. Stronger sentences or fines are needed.

I would really like to hear your answer to @LadyPiglet too. Can you not give it? (I’m not a bot either fyi)

Doesn’t fit my narrative = bot /Daily Mail reader/ Facist/ Racist

Have I forgotten anything?

IAmAHomewardBounder · 05/10/2025 18:26

I'd say that what happened on October 7 was a genocide. Over a thousand defenceless civilians indiscriminately murdered and tortured, regardless of sex and age, purely for being Israeli. Some still held hostage. Until the hostages are returned, October 7 isn't really ended.

sunflower1022 · 05/10/2025 18:27

You know what I’m doing right now?

Listening to the soundtrack of one of my all time favourite movies, ‘North By Northwest’, by Bernard Herrmann (he was the son of a Jewish family of Russian origin).

He collaborated with Hitchcock on a few other films too, and even had a cameo as a conductor in ‘The Man Who Knew Too Much’, another favourite.

Ok, those of you who dispute that "Hamas started it", or claim that those of opposed to the marches taking place this weekend:

How do you propose that Israel defend itself and its civilian population against a terrorist death cult which has embedded itself amongst the civilian population, and who is supported by a large percentage of that population?

Or do you consider that Israel should not defend itself?

How would you feel if your own government did not seek to defend you against atrocities equivalent to those on October 7th?

And what would you have the UK government actually do about it?

What, specifically, are you marching for this weekend? Or why, specifically, do you support those who do march?

I'm not interested in "we are marching for peace" or "ceasfire now" because if wishes were horses, we'd all ride home. Enough of the slogans.

What do you want Israel to do and why do you say that marches in the UK, taking up an extraordinary amount of policing resource and public funds, are a good way of achieving it two days after a terrorist attack at a synagogue and after the Home Sec and the Met have asked the march organisers to desist?

'Marching' makes them sound friendly, or jolly, they are anything but.

MyLimeGuide · 05/10/2025 18:31

LadyPiglet · 05/10/2025 18:03

Why is there no point? It's a genuine question.

If you checked my posting history, you'd see that I'm a lawyer who wants style tips having recently gained a lot of weight, and that I have thoughts on possible offences commited by social workers who attend the "weddings" of 15 year old girls.

So it would disprove your thesis that I'm a "bot".

Unless by "bot" you mean something slightly different from its normal meaning.

Is it short for bigot maybe??! 😂

Yeah exactly the no debate trans debate and ‘trans kids will commit suicide if you don’t affirm all trans people all the time’ is the same energy as ‘how can you not care about murdered babies in gaza?’. If these are your opinions they are your opinions but the wording is so similar, across so many people and it doesn’t go anywhere. Ask a question and you get ‘murdered babies, evil Israel’ in response. The posters that go off piste a bit always say something terribly anti-Semitic and then pretend they didn’t. It’s really weird - it’s worse on the conflict in the Middle East threads. No one has posted FREE PALESTINE for a couple of pages so I guess that will be coming soon?

A video of people cheering support for the October 7th Hamas attacks

On the streets of Birmingham.

Which explains my earlier post.

I have never seen Jewish people take to the streets, dancing and celebrating after an attack that targeted Muslims (like the one in New Zealand)

I've seen people trying to ask questions get back 'murdered babies, genocide, etc' but no replies to whats been asked so many times. It feels like a handbook of soundbites. Just answer a question, although, perhaps they are unable to.

It is so awful; I watched the documentary (not some crap on TikTok and the like) and it was harrowing.

One of the young women raped and killed was a German/ Israeli woman called Shani Louk.

What about the Bibas family, the young mother and her two beautiful babies.

The fact that it’s the anniversary of these horrors in two days makes all this even more distasteful.

I'm sure they have marches organised for Oct 7 too, they wont waste the opportunity to celebrate the anniversary.

sunflower1022 · 05/10/2025 18:58

Let’s be honest here though; the government have to shoulder their part of responsibility too.

Starmer officially recognising the state of Palestine. Lammy with his inane comments.

I’m not surprised he was heckled at the vigil. If you want people to believe you’re there for them then maybe put your money where your mouth is.

Start speaking up for the Jewish community.

I went to the October 7th memorial last year in London. They came to persecute those going to the memorial, jeering and verbally abusing people, including families with children. It was macabre. The police just stood by.

Awful isn't it.

"Today in Birmingham, the Hamas atrocities of 7 October 2023 were justified and cheered.

The banner: “Glory to our martyrs and the Palestinian resistance”. It features a red triangle, a symbol of support for Hamas and a swastika for the 21st Century.

"By all means necessary!""

Shocking 😲

I wanted to politely talk to the police, to ask why we weren't being protected, as a British Jewish family. I was told not to waste my time by my family.

Wow.

Hopefully, things are starting to change. I believe more and more of us are seeing how hate filled these marches are. Having seen numerous videos of the behaviour of some marchers and clear support for a proscribed terrorist organisation, I'm hopeful the police powers will increase to take the illegal and hate filled individuals out of marching and into court.

Accomodation? Not locals then.

I think people being bussed in is pretty common practice at lots of demonstrations/marches.
At a recent anti-immigrant rally in Perth, people had come from Essex!

Awful. My husband has been invited by a Jewish friend to a commemoration event on Tuesday but they havent even given the venue details yet so as to try and thwart any 'protestors'. Shocking that in 21st century America jews have to live like this.

Why do 'protesters ' do this at a memorial. What's wrong with them.

They hate jews. It's as simple as that unfortunately 😔

I remember on the first anniversary, there was a pro Palestine march planned in New York, and they were calling it "Flood the streets for palestine". "The flood" is how hamas referred to their atrocities on October 7th. This march was also starting at the same location there was to be a memorial for the victims of October 7. The true motivations of these marches are there for all to see.

You must have seen BBC interviews with illegal settlers? Most recently when some were informed of the murder of a Palestinian journalist, his cameraman and several bystanders. A spokesperson grinned into the camera and said “thank God”.
There are madmen on both sides of this terrible conflict.
You must have seen Lucy Williamson’s recent, live report from the settlements, when olive farmers’ trees, many thousands of years old and farmed by the Palestinians on their land for generations were wantonly destroyed, the farmers attacked, their homes and vehicles set ablaze.
Each as bad as the other as far as I’m concerned. The difference being that the illegal settlers have a democratic government, well aware of their criminal activity, which collectively turns a blind eye.
You must have seen gatherings of people at viewpoints close to the border, celebrating and dancing each time a new column of smoke arises from Haza. They take their children, have a picnic and make it a day out.
You must agree those actions are equally evil, surely?
