SOrry girls, i love you all but FFS

If you are a SAHM you must be some sort of under acheiver and/or lazy

If you are WOHM you are made to feel guilty for abandoning your children with strangers.

God forbid that you be working class.

If you choose the wrong food/clothes/play gym/music class for your children, you aint gonna fit in either.

If you ask for help and support then you are weak and should be shoved over to anothe forum that "is able to offer the sort of help these people require".

HAve we forgotten that we are all mothers and fathers here? That we all share one common love - our children???

AIBU used to be a place we could have a good old whinge. Now it just seems like a platform for judgement and prejudice.........it honestly is like the corner of the common room at school where all the popular girls gather like a pack of lions judging and bitching about the rest of the school.

It is only since the mothercare lot came

yawn again

Tortington · 03/06/2008 12:45

yes those purchasers of mothercare stuffs ( ie common as fuck) are so common they shouldnt be allowed here

i thought we had a policy?

i think we should deffo have a panel of mumsnetters who let people have a trail mn run - evaluate their performance and then evict them

Beetroot · 03/06/2008 12:46

Custy - that would work wonders

MN was a sophisticated place before mothercare and _Chat

Tortington · 03/06/2008 12:53

oh those heady days where we all said "NAY...no chat...tiz common" and we got it anway.

now people who read the daily mirror come here

OMG

and we have been brought down to their level and of course use chat.

atleast they can read i suppose

one has to find small mercy

Only read op.

Yes of course. It was ever thus, no?

Complete with self appointed prefects. Who aren't akshully all that funny or cool or clever. So nerr...

Less judgmental than any of the tropical fish forums I frequent.

But I suppose that might be because you don't often see somebody come online and moan: 'I keep my children in a narrow box and give them twenty fruit shoots a day and they all die, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?'.

Or blaming any problems on 'the breeder' rather than their lousy husbandry techniques. Funny, we don't seem to get that one so much over here

Off to the Siamese fighting forum to see if anything is brewing

duchesse · 03/06/2008 20:01

cory- I'm fascinated. Do people on those forums behave like their favourite fish? I mean, are the mollie fanciers peaceful and weed-loving, while the siamese fighting lovers are all aggressive and high in colour?

madamez · 03/06/2008 21:26

Fish, eh? WHo wants to see the blue goldfish? Step this way...

pointydog · 03/06/2008 21:34

It all looks the same as it ever was to me.
