... which I paid for?

Apparently, it is paid for by weight, so could I not let her do it in future? No please. Nothing else.

She is 23 months old. So charge me the extra f**king half pence then tosser!!!

It came to 21p. She had taken two 23 month old sized bites. Which is why I was buying it in the first place!

Daily Mail? Is that your paper of choice Onebat? I must admit I only read the FT. Sometimes the Times or the Observer at weekends. And I never vote for anything other than left of centre parties who want to take my money increase the burden of taxation. And I can't possibly be a snob, why I married a Yorkshireman. Proof positive of liberal credentials I feel.

findtheriver · 02/06/2008 22:25

Two??!!

findtheriver · 02/06/2008 22:26

(sorry, talking weeners there)

I was the one who said under 10 you cannot commit crimes but then we had a poster saying she as an adult stole grapes and ate them as she went round the shop too. Also if you don't teach children they are not allowed to eat the supermarket food as they go round then they are learning bad patterns of behaviour and might grow up like working class people who apparently (and I had never heard of this until this thread) eat bars of chocolate in their entirety and present the package at the till to be put through. Amazing.

Of course the Robin Hood argument is one people can use but that doesn't stop what is done being a crime. You might not think it's a crime even though it deprives the shop workers of higher wages indirectly and increases food prices for the rest of us including the very poor, but it is.

Why all this eating when out and about though particularly adults? Why can't they just eat breakfast, lunch and dinner like we used to and like the French and other cultures who aren't obese? ANyway I suppose at least it kills vast numbers of the working class off young because they are so much fatter than those who are better off so that relieves the pensions crisis but it would be better for them if they'd just eat less and better.

onebatmother · 02/06/2008 22:27

duchesse.

"Daily Mail? Is that your paper of choice Onebat?" D'you know what? No, it isn't.

Dear Quattrocento, all these are admirable, utterly. (Esp. the Yorkshireman - snap.)

Nevertheless, they are no protection against accusations of snobbery, or of being - perhaps - insufficiently thoughtful in your analysis of how and why society works as it does.

bluenosesaint · 02/06/2008 22:30

Amazing do you really believe what you write Xenia?

Quattrocento · 02/06/2008 22:31

Xenia - you're not helping here - killing vast numbers of working class people is not generally thought to be a desirable outcome

onebatmother · 02/06/2008 22:31

Very very interested, btw, to hear what my own Yorkshireman will think of your argument that stooping to marry one of his kind proves that I'm not a snob..

He might be rather insulted, don't you think? Before he thinks again and realizes what bollocks it all is?

onebatmother · 02/06/2008 22:34

LOL Quattrocento at 'desirable outcome'

Xenia you have a glitch. Please self-refer online. Xenia 2.2. appears to have resolved these interface issues.

Quattrocento · 02/06/2008 22:34

Erm, Onebat, that was a joke. It was meant to make you smile. I told my captive Yorkshireman as I posted it. Mind you, I don't say he was splitting his sides.

pavlovthecat · 02/06/2008 22:34

I appear to have been hijacked on my own thread

Wow, Xenia, money does mean everything to you.
I am astounded.
Did you read your post again before sending it?
Vile.

pavlovthecat · 02/06/2008 22:37

Xenia - your argument regarding obesity is flawed. At least in the context of this thread. It was an apple, no toffee on it, or hundred n thousands. Just a plain old apple. She is not going to get fat on that methinks

OP posts:
Quattrocento · 02/06/2008 22:37

Well do you call yourself liberal? I mean you must do with your free and easy attitude to Mr Tesco's property and all. But have you married a Yorkshireman, eh?

Niecie · 02/06/2008 22:38

But Xenia - if you kill off the working classes where are you going to get your cleaners, gardener and nannies? Very careless I would have thought.

Have a look at this too - from the Independent not the DM

I suspect you don't really believe half of what you say - you just enjoy the notoriety don't you. Go on admit it!

pavlovthecat · 02/06/2008 22:39

I married an american...

OP posts:
Quattrocento · 02/06/2008 22:41

FFS woman - you can't even spell the word armour any more. Nope, you ain't no liberal.

pavlovthecat · 02/06/2008 22:41

Are we talking about modern or classic liberalism? I cant answer until that has been established.

OP posts:
pavlovthecat · 02/06/2008 22:42

Quattro - I spelt it the american way. for effect! .

Did I lose all rights to liberal thought when I married an american then?

lucyellensmum · 02/06/2008 22:44

You are clearly only worthy to share air space with Xenia, if you are wealthy and good-looking, oh and of course, if you farm your childcare out at the earliest opportunity

I know your comments are tongue in cheek, but wasn't there a holucaust based on that sort of thinking once??

I used to admire and respect you, xenia, for standing by your opinions, even though there were controversial. But you areally are just a troll imo and you manage to cause a reaction simply because you troll in an articulate fashion. Get over yourself

onebatmother · 02/06/2008 22:47
pavlovthecat · 02/06/2008 22:48

did you know Thatcher was a liberal?

OP posts:
Quattrocento · 02/06/2008 22:49

Come back Onebat, we haven't finished comparing Yorkshiremen yet

Quattrocento · 02/06/2008 22:51

I hadn't previously given serious thought to Mrs T's liberal credentials.
