Cats a dickhead 🤣

Anyone else got a cat that’s a complete dickhead.

I have one very well behaved older cat and we recently decided to add another one to the mix.

He is an absolute terror 🤣. We leave for holiday tomorrow and I finished deep cleaning the house for the house sitter. Put everything away.

Walk back into the kitchen and he has somehow found (I have no idea how as they are kept in an enclosed glass jar) a tea bag.

Hes ripped it open and dragged it across three rooms leaving a trail of it everywhere. Got an emergency appointment at the vet incase he’d ingested it.

He’s fine.

My cat is a little monster but when he cuddles me all is forgiven.

That’s cats. There are days when I really can’t understand why we love them so much.

Today one of the cats performatively puked behind the heated fish tank, over DH’s borrowed camera bag for work, plus most of the kitchen floor. No obvious reason.

She has previously regurgitated entire rats on my bedroom floor, left small heaps of innards on the kitchen and bathroom floors, released live moths into my bedroom at 3am, released live mice and rats into my bedroom at 3am, and done her soul-rending “please fix this, my life is as a desert drear” wail because the rodent she brought into my bedroom to kill in comfort has stopped working. At 3am.

Her sister? Never caught anything, never makes a sound.

We used to have an elderly ginger scrote of a tom who specialised in puking into the set top box. Interesting fact: if you let the cat hair and dust build up enough then it stops the vomit from dripping in through the holes. Lazy housewife for the win!

We're getting another kitten this week. I hope she’s nice.

Strange question OP, but is your kitten around 13/14 weeks old? If so I wonder if he’s brother to my rescue kitten who is equally gorgeous but a total handful!

He may be a dickhead but he's an utterly gorgeous one so he can get away with it!!

When cats were invented the mad scientist decided that, in order for them to get away with their psychopathic behaviour, they had to be made absolutely beautiful and with guile.

And here we are.

All cats are dickheads. Their contrarian nature, self importance and complete refusal to do what we want them to do is what makes them so awesome.

They are benefit scroungers with the demeanour of aristocrats. And with such elegance.

I wish I could carry it off.

You need to show us a picture of you being fluffily gorgeous really.

Both mine are dickheads but they're mine and I wouldn't change them for the world. Even if they do wake me up at 4am, don't come home until midnight, ignore what I'm saying. Oh and stick their bums in my face when I'm minding my own business.

My flat would feel very empty without them.

If I could be as fluffily gorgeous as my cats I wouldn't need to work for a living!

We’d be in trouble wouldn’t we! I continue to be amazed at them observing and copying us. You know how we try to cover up an embarrassment, they do too. Have you seen them pretending to not do something?

I know exactly what you mean but they do it with far more aplomb than we do!

Me too. They are a species constantly evolving and they fascinate me.

One of my cats steals a tomato each night and eats part of it before rolling it on floor.
Another one came in carrying a baby hare and stashed it in the playroom.
The third one is generally well behaved but I can’t give him any medicine or spot ons. But he will happily be carried around the house and cuddled by his 6 year old owner all day.

Wait - please explain the baby hare thing…..

The court finds him innocent of all charges.. there’s just no way a kitty with that angelic little sleeping pose could possibly do such a thing!
