Vinted/ inpost error, please help as I only have today to sort this 📦

Please help and advise.

I'm a vinted seller and have sold hundreds, however I have now taken a break from selling and I am now buying things off there for myself and my children.

This is my problem! I ordered a bulk parcel from someone. The parcel said delivered on Sunday. Got my teen (almost 18yr old) to go to the shop to pick it up. He said its not there. I thought that's strange but left it as that in the hope they just couldn't find it as they have loads there stacked to the sky high in a trolley in the back. Next day, I got an email notification from inpost to say it is there and waiting to be picked up. So I sent my son there with the QR code to scan. He comes back with a smaller parcel. I said wait, that's not it and why did the code work on that parcel. I then went down to the shop myself. She said I will go and check again for it. I took the smaller parcel to show them this is the one that's been picked up just moments ago. I showed her my phone that says the big parcel is there. She looked again and said it is definitely not here and it's also very strange that I have been able to scan the code on the phone for the smaller parcel. which by the way, on tracking page says still available. I have messaged the seller a few times explaining what's happening and im sorry and hoping it will eventually come and keep her in the loop. I checked yesterday, again it's not there. I told the lady it's not there. I'm sorry this has happened and im going to contact inpost. I contact inpost, they say it's delivered! And I said well it's not. They said they will contact the shop and then get back to me and vinted. Fine, I hear nothing back. So im going to call them shortly myself. Meanwhile , I get a barrage of messages from the seller, im a scammer, im not being honest and a whole load of other rubbish because I had a few negative reviews from over a month ago when I stopped selling my own items, I had to cancel some orders, because my little child has a lifelong disease/ disability and we are in and out of hospital frequently. I even told her this yet I shouldn't have to!

I even sent her a message back swearing on God, that I haven't got it and im not happy myself but I have been very honest with you, AND you can even call the shop ask them have I come in with my name and been trying to collect a large parcel 4 times!
And never got it! She said no, youre not being honest this isn't fair, youre a scammer buying clothes off people to sell on And doing this time and time again and I will be telling vinted about this!!!!...

I said youre jumping to conclusions. These clothes are for me and the hoodies are for my kid for college. I've been very honest messaging you every step of the way. Ive even sworn on Gods name and his holy book that i havent got it as im a very religious person.
I've also lost 49 quid worth of stuff as well as you have lost your items..she still won't stop sending me very vicious messages. I've told her im trying to find out what's happened to it and call inpost. She said she put her address as sender on there as well, so maybe it's been sent back to her.
Anyway, it says I have until 3.45pm today to confirm everything is OK with the parcel. I obviously dont know if i will get my money refunded, or what!

What on earth do I do now!!!!
Im going to call inpost shortly to see what's going on ! But they are telling me yesterday it's been picked up from the shop! I explained to them no, another parcel that says still in transit was picked up with their code which is bizzare in itself.
So frustrating. One thing im upset about is losing the money but on top of that the messages insulting my character yesterday and this morning is getting me down and annoyed!

Please kindly advise! I onlh have until 3ish today to sort this! Will vinted help me?

Who is the smaller parcel from?
If it's the same seller check what's in it and click " I have an issue"

You must raise an issue or your money will go through and nothing can be done after that

Yes, big parcel is from unreasonable woman screaming Scam!
Smaller parcel is one item, the black jacket, from a lady who doesn't mind waiting and said she's happy ive got it even though it still says in transit.

Now, im thinking by all your responses I should click there is an issue now, or should it be pause transaction???

I was going to wait nearer to 3pm on the hope it does get to the shop one way or the other !!!!

You can say its resolved if it turns up but you need to raise it now in case you happen to forget etc

Click it now. It won't do any harm as if it does arrive you can confirm that it has.

So click on big parcel order and say you have an issue and the parcel is not there but the 2 appear mixed up
You have to raise an issue or else it will go through

Report big parcel lady for awful messages in addition You can send Vinted screenshots

So:

What's the name on the small parcel? Is it yours? Have you opened it if it has your name?

Is Vinted showing the "Confirm all is ok/I have a problem page"? If so have you clicked there is a problem?

If it has someone else's name have you tried posting on a local FB page asking if anyone has collected an InPost parcel from X Shop with your name on and also is Flossie James after one?

It's possible the seller is trying to scam you tbh. Sending you a smaller parcel and then claiming there's an issue and getting the money if you don't fight. Your overdramatic "swearing to God" might not have helped your own case though

There have also been some InPost issues this week

Just make sure to hit that "I have a problem" button now if it's there

Don't mean to come across over dramatic.
I hate lies/liars/dishonesty and in my faith lying is a major sin. Just wanted ti prove to her im genuine. But i suppose anyone can say "I swear on God, the bible, the torah, the quran, the kids lives, mums life and lie. Sad really.

Im now regretting that. But like I said, im a very religious person, and wanted to get my point across that im not a scammer.

Do not wait - click I have an issue and choose the option which says parcel says arrived but is not at thr parcelshop or similar. @Judgejudysno1fan

It will suspend the transaction.

If it is at the shop later you can complete the transaction then.

When you suspend the order DO NOT click on resolve this issue as that will then complete the transaction and the seller will be paid.

You need to act now as it will automatically complete soon and the seller will be paid and vinted will not get involved.

When you suspend the transaction you say what has happened- keep it short and only facts, I would not bother saying about the seller, yoj need to concentrate on the missing parcel.

They may send a form through for you to fill in and send back - a denial of receipt form - you only get 48hours to complete this.

Take screenshots of everything.

Do not engage with the seller any longer as they are just being rude now, you can report their messages if you want to - but first suspend thr transaction that is the most urgent thing.

When this is all done you can block them.

Of course there’s an issue. You’ve already been multiple times and it’s not there. Just click there’s a problem and stop faffing about. If you leave it nearer 3pm you risk running out of time. There’s already a problem so JUST. CLICK. IT. NOW.

Just click there’s been a problem and calmly explain the issue, simply explain that it hasn’t arrived and that seller is sending abusive messages.

Yes, I also looked up inpost get their codes mixed up which is ridiculous..a lady who was in the shop before me, got two parcels mixed ip and couldn't collect them. She was annoyed herself. How do I get my money back, please? Is there somewhere I can tap on vinted it never arrived!

Why haven't you already clicked "i have an issue" and reported it to vinted??

All this back and forth with the seller swearing on a holy book and hoping the shop will find it is a complete waste of time and energy.

You don't need to get into long arguments with the seller about your character and faith. Just keep it factual. I have not received the parcel.

You need to say you have an issue before the sale completes and the seller gets the money as I don't think you'll be able to do anything then. Just do it now as it would be frustrating if you forget to do it on time.

So, I have done exactly what you all have said and reported it as wrong parcel sent e
with proof of emails and proofand pictures of the other package with order number and code that still says today (in transit)

Hopefully will get my money back.
If the parcel does turn up, I can say issue resolved.

Imagine if it got sent back to her, and she wants the money still, pretending she hasn't got it.

Done. I just made paragraphs on here to make it clear on here. I've made it shorter on vinted with pictures of proof which im glad I did.

I know at work we've had numerous people call in to collect parcels that we just haven't received. They've had the collection code but we haven't had the parcels dropped with us. In some cases they are parcels we would have rejected due to size anyway. But inpost are definitely confirming delivery before the parcels are at the collection point.

The issue here is that the seller has been sent confirmation that you collected her parcel, you yourself have confirmed it's showing as collected though you haven't received it so she has every reason to believe you are lying unfortunately.

Good luck sorting this, I recently had to contact inpost customer service over a delivery and I wish I'd kept quiet, they caused even more issues and ended up delaying the delivery even more.

I hope the correct package shows up.

You need to escalate it with Vinted. Go into the order and click there is a problem and keep going until you get the option to contact them. You need to do it quickly as the funds will auto release to the seller in 48 hours if the parcel us showing as delivered. I had a similar thing and both me and buyer were refunded.

I have just had a very similar problem with Inpost.
Sold a top to a lady last week, received an email to say it had been delivered to nominated shop and was ready to collect.
Customer has tried several times but no parcel there and the code she was sent is coming up as error.😡
My customer thankfully has been lovely but is understandably disappointed. I have apologised profusely. The expected email has landed this morning saying the item is on its way back to me as seller never collected. Have updated buyer accordingly.
Shocking service and very dishonest of Inpost not to admit they are experiencing issues at present. 😡

I bought something from an online retailer recently and their delivery options page flagged there was an issue with In post delays. I chose delivery to the local shop instead of my home address as it estimated that was quicker. It arrived okay.

It's a good thing i kept the small parcel wrapper. I took the coat out of it and have since worn it but the parcel wrapper is in good condition and clear to see the order number
