Loads to do. Assuming you have a car.

Bewilderwood. DC will be too small for some of it, but still fun to be had.

Hire motor launch from Martham Boats. We also took our toddler out in one of their canoes - they have really comfy buoyancy aids!

MellersSmellers · 15/08/2025 10:37

Just been to North Norfolk - the beaches are a revelation! Gorgeous 😍
All of the above, plus seal watching at Blakeney.

Can't come to Norfolk and not get out on the water, there's day-hire of motor boats too.
Pettitts, east of Norwich is somewhere our grandchildren loved when they were small.
West Runton beach, west of Cromer is lovely, Sheringham to introduce him/her to Ronaldos ice-creams and you too, the lime and tequila sorbet is brilliant.
Weather looks a bit cooler after the weekend.

We've just come back, my recs are definitely Bewilderwood, the Poo Trail at Pensthorpe and ROAAR (dino park).
We loved it, had a great week!

VintedoreBay · 15/08/2025 10:42

Bewilderwood for sure!
Boat trip at Blakeney Point to see seals
Bure Valley heritage railway
Blickling Manor national trust

VintedoreBay · 15/08/2025 10:44

Norfolk was one of my favourite holidays 😍 my little one was 20m when we went for a week. Enjoy!

BeaLola · 15/08/2025 10:45

I fancy that ice cream !

I may need to replant next week and come to Norfolk again as it's ages since we've been - over it so much we wanted to live there

tinyspiny · 15/08/2025 10:49

If you venture into Suffolk the Oasis Camel park is fun , lots of different animals and plenty for kids .

Peaceandlabradors · 15/08/2025 10:50

Wells near the sea lovely beach

Snettisham farm park is good and you could feed the deer

Dinosaursare · 15/08/2025 10:54

We stay with friends locally in loddon often.
We love pettits, bewilderwood, Yarmouth or banham zoo

Pettits is a definite fave for them though, all the rides are suitable for toddlers and they love the beach area

bilbodog · 15/08/2025 11:20

Gorleston beach just south of great yarmouth is lovely if you just want sometime by the sea - much quieter than yarmouth for a little one and parking easier - all along marine parade at the top.

OnionBudgie · 15/08/2025 11:23

Visit the beach at Great Yarmouth and go to Joyland on the seafront -- it's a small amusement park for young children, with plenty of age-appropriate rides, etc.

Nomorecoconutboosts · 15/08/2025 11:43

Wroxham Barns
Sea Palling Beach
(love Norfolk, it’s totally under rated imo. Went to Cornwall for a ‘change’ - very expensive and Norfolk is a lot friendlier in our experience)

PandaG · 15/08/2025 13:15

Wroxham barns - animals, rides, small soft play - all in price. Perfect!

Sheringham - lovely beaches (check the tides), but also the steam train to Holt. You can watch from the bridge, or buy a platform ticket if you don't want to pay to ride (quite expensive), but great to watch the steam trains.

Bewilderwood I might save until slightly older personally, same with Pleasure wood Hills - though they will be able to do some of the stuff there. I'd go to Joy land at Yarmouth instead, the snails were a permanent fixture of my childhood - we always went on the very last day of the school holidays.

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 15/08/2025 13:28

Holkham. Lots of kid friendly stuff in the grounds, house is optional. I'd recommend but will obviously do nothing for the toddler. There is pay parking on the approach to the beach which is glorious but make sure you check the tides as pointless if the tides are in. The same beach stretches all the way to Wells and there is another car park there which takes you straight onto the sand.

Whaleadthesnail · 15/08/2025 13:37

Yes Wroxham Barns is perfect! I was a regular 30 years ago 😂 and took my toddler back recently, lots of fun.

Could do a little day boat trip around the broads too
