I've been thinking about the plagiarism insinuation between The Salt Road and The Salt Path.

In this case I don't think SW does have a case to answer. Yes she may have been inspired by The Salt Road having attended one of their shows, but for me there is a world of difference between the imagery of The Salt Road ( with vehicles) and the The Salt Path (images of the SWCP). So in this particular case, I'm inclined to plead on behalf of Raymoth.

I think it's weird that the friends sign the justgiving page as "Julie and Dave from up North", like they are playing a role. The only recent photo of a relative I could find online was of TW's estranged brother in France, and Dave certainly wasn't him!

I guess we don't know - sorry, a mistake was made 😉 But he doesn't get a mention in TSP credits, and his son was pretty damning about RayMoth.

It looks like two different women. I could be wrong. Could Dave have a new Julie (new partner)? And RayMoth just let us think that was the old Dave and old Julie.

Now this is an idea - I think we've got a best seller here.

I thought this too, so much so that I went to look at the Justgiving page - and they haven't actually signed it "Julie" and Dave. It's a very similar name (not posting it here because I don't want to incur a drive-by scolding on my first contribution!). I've been searching for the combination of names and locations around Lancashire, but no luck so far.

I now realise there are two Justgiving pages (so great the charity has benefitted from the books). I think as it's a public page, giving the names is fine, as they are still not identifiable.

Bit of a tell here about who 'Gangani' were in one of @Tealeaf3 's screenshots here. Are the lovely smallholders with the lovely house aand barn really "your friends", Gangani? If so , how come it is "we" Gangani, who are the "font (sic) of information" about rural life....

@Catwith69lives I don’t think there has been a suggestion that RW ripped off the TSP story from Salt Road. They are nothing alike. What is more curious is the similar format of the live show Saltlines - writer/stories plus musicians and song to Salt Road. Also the change of name from the original Lightly Salted etc. Light fingered in the creativity department perhaps but not plagiarism in my opinion. The similarities to 500MW might be a different kettle of fish.
