To feel a bit sick when looking at certain celebs?

I have a weird thing where certain people make me feel physically sick/Uneasy. It’s mainly celebrities or people in the public eye.

One example is Jeremy Corbyn. Nothing to do with his politics - it’s something about him.

My latest one is Danny Dyer - especially with a moustache.

Anyone else get this?

Trump🤢

David Walliams
Vernon Kay

Russell Brand - just looks greasy and filthy
Greg Wallace - no underpants - yuk
Nick Knowles - ego the size of a house
David Walliams - creepy
Sandy Toksvig - another massive ego
Claire Balding - bossy school hockey captain
Prince Andrew - doesn’t sweat! Who else on earth would be stupid enough to say that on TV?

My son thought that about Sandi Toksvig before he worked with her in the theatre. Having met her he says she’s a lovely person with no ego whatsoever

AWitchCalledMeg · 14/08/2025 20:37

Brigette Macron - I mean, WTF, the wig, the giant hands, punching her husband in the face, the fact that she was molesting him at 14 as his 40 year old married teacher. She should be locked up.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 14/08/2025 20:47

Cillian Murphy, because his lips are the same colour as his face. Weird.

I feel this way about Dominic West. He's a really good actor, but the way he bares his teeth like a male gorilla when he smiles makes me leave the room. It feels so malevolent. Didn't help that he was so believable as Fred West.

Same with Walter Goggins. My flesh crawls. And Jack Nicholson.

Edited

Are you me? Yes, to all of this especially Dominic West.

I get the same feeling from Come on Eileen - I have to leave if it's playing in a shop 😅

That’s so weird as I have a very strong reaction to that song, especially if accompanied by the video. It makes me feel incredibly depressed, close to crying and I have no idea why! It’s something to do with the street they’re on and the dungarees. The street looks a lot like the streets in my city so I can only imagine I must have had a bad experience with a dungaree sporting individual on one of these streets back in the 80s

😂God I feel this way about my own face (minus the goatee (sometimes)).

That’s Bella Ramsey and Jojo Siwa. Also minus goatee

Rosscameasdoody · 14/08/2025 22:38

Dylan Mulvaney for a wide range of reasons, not least because I find him so irritating, but mainly because he thinks all you have to do to be a woman is put on a pretty dress, carry a handbag and spend each day shopping and having your hair done.

Agrumpyknitter · 14/08/2025 22:40

Nigel Farage and Andrew Tate.

Particularly when I saw the picture of the two of them together grinning at the camera, with Farage saying Andrew Tate was an important voice for men (boak)

Anotherbeeloudglade · 14/08/2025 23:00

Honestly relieved to see David Walliams mentioned repeatedly, I have felt this for years and thought I was the only one.

Walton goggins is lovely! I met him at a comic con type thing years ago and he was charming and friendly and just all around fun to be around.

Must admit I love him as an actor, and enjoyed it when he showed us around his home in Open Door. Love his accent too.

They are really like infant teeth! Still preferable to big toothy-veneers in a permanent rictus grin like meghan markle though.

Edited

I've always thought that Markle's crowns are angled too far forward in her mouth. They jut outward if you look carefully.
Still a darn sight nicer than Pricey's. 😬

Anotherbeeloudglade · 14/08/2025 23:08

I think some of us are disliking people because of their views and politics. But for me, it is not about that, the person just gives me the heeby jeebies for some undefined reason. Like David Walliams, I first got the creeps from him back in his Little Britain era, a show I enjoyed and found amusing - but even then there was just something about him. He looks like he's acting being human.

And like Keir Starmer who, as I mentioned earlier, looks like he's almost permanently trying not to look terrified and when he's not doing that he just looks blank.

Both of those men are not ugly, if you look at their symmetry etc, but they both make my skin crawl.

And Jason Isaacs has a knowing, greasy look about him. I'd expect him to have a sex dungeon filled with things that were illegal. I am NOT saying he does have that, just saying it's what I'd expect.

Isittimeformynapyet · 15/08/2025 01:47

My go-to on all these threads is Dominic Littewood.

I never let an opportunity go by to point out what a hideous little Rumpelstiltskin he is.

Ruthietuthie · 15/08/2025 01:50

I cannot stand to look at Matthew McConaughey. Unbearable.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 15/08/2025 02:00

Mainly the ridiculously flash female celebrities who could be using their platform for bigging young women up instead of promoting tweaks and an excessive unrealistic lifestyle.

ConnieHeart · 15/08/2025 08:28

Prince Andrew. What a disgusting excuse for a man. He's so slimy & smug. I really hope he spends the rest of his life looking over his shoulder. But probably not. He's so arrogant & no doubt thinks he's untouchable

I used to like her, but she was very ungracious and superior about the Bake Off after she left.

HeadDeskHeadDesk · 15/08/2025 08:41

Not Sandi and Clare, my fantasy best friends, surely? Cuddly lesbians who belong in the same gang as Sue Perkins, who straight women love and want to be mates with, because they seem like such good eggs. Surely not? 😫

Glad to hear from someone else that Sandi is sound.

Catpiece · 15/08/2025 08:47

CalzoneOnLegs · 14/08/2025 10:55

@Catpiece yes NK looks like he needs a facial, deep clean, steam and peel off mask and a shave looks, like his pores are full of black stuff.

Yeh 😂 Like a face full of blackheads.

HairyToity · 15/08/2025 09:06

Yanbu - the likes of Farage and Trump have this effect, along with all the celebs that have had tweakments / cosmetic surgery.

I’d put Steph McGovern in that gang too.

I’ve been wondering why people were so averse to that rather gentle, fine actor Dominic West then realised I was thinking about Samuel West, son of Prunella and Timothy. Dominic is rather too simian, agreed.

He would make an excellent Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde although people would suspect Jekyll from the start!

Jonathan King always knocked me sick
