Would you bother going on holiday if your life was like this?

Live abroad, house with small pool, quiet road, able to walk to the beach and countryside. Space to ride bikes, plenty of beach bars, beaches, restaurants nearby. Lots of playgrounds and things to do.
Would you spend money and have the hassle of going somewhere else when kids were small or stay where you were for your two week holiday?

I would as I like a bit of variety. I’d probably go away in the winter so the kids could see snow, or do a city break somewhere like Amsterdam.

Well @Bobnobob it could have been your life but you chose to have more than one child, no one forced you, it’s not compulsory to have more than one.

also whether you have one child or three or even none, no house is self cleaning. There is also menial tasks to be done…

Don't you want to go to a hotel though, so there's a holiday from cooking cleaning etc?

Staying at home, no matter how lovely the location, still means housework needs to be done
