Why do people have kids just to complain about them all the time?

The constant complaining about how hard it is, how much work it is, how expensive they are etc etc etc

Because if you say your kids are a constant delight and the best thing that ever happened in your life then people will call you a smug twat.

There's no winning.

Same as everything else.
I wanted a job but I complain about it.
I wanted a dog but I complain about it.
I wanted a husband but I complain about him.
I wanted kids but I complain about them.
I wanted a house but I complain about it.
And so on....

I was looking for a job and then I found a job, and heaven knows I'm miserable now.

I’ll complain about some things my children do, but I don’t complain about them. I love them to bits and wouldn’t be without them. In fact, I feel really sorry for some people who think they’ve somehow struck up a better version of Nirvana by not having them, or cleverly resisted social pressure. Like all relationships there are complications.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. For me kids have been the best thing ever.
