phone calls in neighbours gardens

Why do people insist on making lengthy phone calls from their gardens? I want to enjoy my garden not listen to people talking about their jobs and their love live.
If they don't want their family to hear them why do they think it's ok for strangers to hear them?
So anti-social.

How else would they indicate they have a life?

How dare they have a conversation while enjoying the nice weather. Glad youre not my neighbour

Pathetic remark.

There is something massively more annoying about overhearing phone call conversations than in-person conversations. You speak much more loudly for a start. And either you only hear one side of it, or the other side is someone speaking with that annoying, tinny phone sound which is irritating and intrusive. When someone is sat in front of you you don't project your voice anywhere near as much as you do on the phone, especially when you have the handset held away from your face.
