To think my manicure isn’t cute

What do you think? Maybe I should change it?

To think my manicure isn’t cute

I don't think I'd spend money on such an eye catching manicure that's only going to draw attention to raggedy bitten cuticles.

🙄

tbf I think anyone posting a photo of their warts online ostensibly to ask an inane question about a manicure with no info or further explanation is either not bothered if their warts are mentioned, or wants them to be. People are very strange!

And/or it's not their hand

Zanadoo45 · 23/07/2025 14:26

Around her cuticles then (which I believe is part of the nail bed and plate) are all red and broken and what are those lumps on the fish nail finger?

Edited

Have you never seen warts?

KPPlumbing · 23/07/2025 14:51

I hate this style of nails, sorry. I'm a red and pink girl, and always one colour only, on shortish, neat nails. I think this look is tacky, but know it's all the rage, and each to their own.

BlankBlankBlank14 · 23/07/2025 14:51

I love the stripes!

nomas · 23/07/2025 14:53

Well, you've spent money on them now so keep them until they get chipped.

And some people are very rude

JellyComb · 23/07/2025 14:55

I have similar lumps on both my index fingers caused by arthritis.

Lilaclinacre · 23/07/2025 14:55

Peak mumsnet. 'Do you like my manicure?"
'No, you have hepatitis'

LittlleMy · 23/07/2025 14:55

It’s cute in a quirky way! 💅💕

OMGNotYouAgain · 23/07/2025 14:58

It looks as though you couldn’t decide on a design. The fish design is cute if you like fishfingers but the rest are a bit naff.

SonK · 23/07/2025 14:58

Hey OP, the manicure isn't my style at all or what I would go for - but it is cute just not well executed.

Maybe next time tell them the finish wasn't too smooth but I guess it also depends on how much you paid for them.

Enjoy them for now, then get something else : )

Also, ignore the rude comments x

Cakeandusername · 23/07/2025 14:59

I read it as Op was unhappy (she thinks it isn’t cute) and was looking for back up to complain to nail person.

Muffinmam · 23/07/2025 15:00

Are those warts on your fingers??

Someone savaged your fingers with thr cuticle cutters and you are at a real risk of infection.

Leave your nails alone and go and see your GP.

I quite like them but all the nails seem odd lengths to eachother.

honeylulu · 23/07/2025 15:05

Do you mean cute as in cutesey/babyish?
Or in the American sense of attractive/sexy?
I think it meets the first definition but not the second, but that's just my opinion.
Do YOU like it? If so that's all that matters.

I agree. It’s very strange behaviour. Warts are a highly contagious virus and not harmless at all. These need to be treated. I don’t understand why she would make a nail appointment and pay to have someone butcher her cuticles and not spend money to have a GP freeze those off her finger.

Eh why does she need to see her GP exactly?

Subwaystop · 23/07/2025 15:07

I’ve been seeing nails like these lately. Are they a trend? I don’t get it, but I’m very bad at understanding fashions. What coheres these different nails? The color doesn’t (there are two shades of yellow, which feel like different categories) and blue and a red/pink candy themed nail. A star, a fish, a flower, French and peppermint stick. I’m not asking with judgement, I’m just trying to understand why someone who order this. I find it very confusing. But if you asked me in person I’d say it’s fun and leave it there.

Hoppinggreen · 23/07/2025 15:07

Were you aiming for cute?
I think the designs are too mixed, not cohesive and its not been especially well executed but if you are happy with them then thats the main thing

You don't need to go to the GP for two warts on your finger ffs, people like you are the reason others who do need appointments can't get them! You can purchase what is needed from a pharmacist!
