What do you think? Maybe I should change it?

You could try bazuka gel for the warts on your index finger.

Ffs. Why do you think that it is acceptable to be so bloody rude.
Your nails are cute, OP.

hmmimnotsurewhy · 23/07/2025 14:28

Looks like something my dd would like, she’s 3

Zanadoo45 · 23/07/2025 14:26

Around her cuticles then (which I believe is part of the nail bed and plate) are all red and broken and what are those lumps on the fish nail finger?

Edited

The skin around the nail (called the proximal nail fold) can soon be healed with some tlc and oil/moisturiser. And the lumps look like small warts to me but I’m not an expert on those.

SaywhatIthink · 23/07/2025 14:28

I like it looks nice.
But i never go for the cute girl look.

Kerantli · 23/07/2025 14:29

The only thing I'd change is the ring fingers smile line, it's looking very flat/straight compared to the one on the thumb.
The fish is really well done, and the star on your little finger is cute too.

Cakeandusername · 23/07/2025 14:29

These 2 areas look like there’s cuts around cuticles and 2 lumps - warts?

Poor OP.

SpongeBobcircle · 23/07/2025 14:27

@Zanadoo45 likely harmless warts! Did she ask for comments on them though?

Hopefully she did her manicure herself if they are warts what sort of a salon would do a manicure with warts so close to the nails?

Trovindia · 23/07/2025 14:31

Why are they all so different? It looks like someone was just trying out random designs on you. I don't think it's cute, sorry.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 23/07/2025 14:31

Cute but a couple of them look a little big for your fingers

SpongeBobcircle · 23/07/2025 14:32

@Zanadoo45 what is your reason exactly for them needing to be done by OP instead of a salon. Maybe educate yourself. If you’ve nothing nice to say maybe say nothing?

Am I the only one giggling at 'fish finger'? 😄

No, you're not.
There is usually a little group who like to witch cackle.

Windyknowsbest · 23/07/2025 14:33

I totally get why you feel that way, it's not awful by any means, but I agree it doesn’t quite have that “finished” or polished look you'd hope for from a salon. The shape looks a bit uneven, and the colour just doesn’t pop like it could.
I’ve had the same feeling coming out of nail appointments before, like you paid for a treat and just ended up meh.
If you’re not happy with it, I’d definitely go back and say something politely. Most decent salons will offer a fix or at least acknowledge it. And next time maybe bring a photo reference so there’s no confusion.
Don’t feel bad for not loving it, it’s your money, your hands, and you deserve to leave feeling fab ❤️

Hodgemollar · 23/07/2025 14:34

It’s not cute but presumably it’s what you asked for?

Curious if salons would perform a manicure on people with warts so close to the nails?

pokewoman · 23/07/2025 14:39

They're cute but they look really thick and too big for the nail

YellowCamperVan · 23/07/2025 14:42

Do salons do manicures when people have visible warts? I'm surprised, I thought that would be a hygiene no-no.

BaronessBomburst · 23/07/2025 14:43

I love the fish!

She asked whether her design looked cute!

YellowCamperVan · 23/07/2025 14:46

tbf I think anyone posting a photo of their warts online ostensibly to ask an inane question about a manicure with no info or further explanation is either not bothered if their warts are mentioned, or wants them to be. People are very strange!

GAJLY · 23/07/2025 14:46

They do look incredibly cute! I had warts on my hands too. The only thing that got rid of them were the freezing spray you can buy from the chemist. Only needed to do them 2-3 times.

Cakeandusername · 23/07/2025 14:46

janeandmarysmum · 23/07/2025 14:44

She didn’t mention design just asked if manicure cute - she could be unhappy nail person cut her, mine never do that.

No 😆

Slightlysimi · 23/07/2025 14:47

They're great if you're a childrens entertainer. Otherwise, no. Also might just be the angle of the photo but they don't look well done. I hope you didn't pay a lot.

waveywave · 23/07/2025 14:47

I don't like mismatched nails personally but it looks neat.
