What happened to the laughing face emoji response?

I am sorry if there was a thread on this already that I've not found.

The laughing face emoji private response was so good. I could use it to laugh at something funny or at something totally idiotic. Multi purpose.

Where oh where and why has it gone?

Possibly. I had a few serious posts laughed at, but they’re just identifying themselves as twats. I wouldn’t get upset about it. But used for the correct reason it was really handy! I miss it.

If someone used the laugh emoji on my posts to mock me I took to reporting my own post and pointing out that the use of the laugh emoji was NITS.

Doesn’t stop people placemarking.

So? What's your point? If everybody who bookmarked did with a comment, then that would clog up threads too.

Plenty of people respond to posts with a , I’ve never seen any complaints that it clogs up threads.

I really miss it. There are some hilarious and brilliant people on mumsnet and I liked the opportunity to let them know I appreciated their wit.

Maybe mumsnet could run a poll in AIBU to get a true measure of sentiment of whether the majority did want or not want it.
