Oh and making the guy resign seems a bit overkill. What happened to the woman?

It's rubbish and we should all boycott it

I am aware of the issues around AI but the OP would have found their answer in a flash.

This is all very interesting. Ive worked in QA for 40 years in telecoms (North American company) and bio-tech (International Group) and never heard of it.

is this managing what we used to call processes and procedures back in the day?

For the last couple of years, Ive been baffled by an advert which keeps being played on Times Radio for Service Now. Couldn't for the life of me work out what it was they were actually selling. Well bugger me if its not workflow software! (Just Googled).

I think the problem is the baffling, opaque language around it. Great if you're already in the know but utterly confusing if you're not.

I imagine many men feel the same about ads for tampons!

Both Astronomer employees have resigned. Apparently they were embarrassed about being caught watching Coldplay. ;)

chaosmaker · 30/07/2025 01:10

@HotCrossBunplease who cares if men are baffled by tampon ads. They don't need em. Also lillets are never advertised and are far superior anyway.

Nope

Me neither. I've never heard that expression!

This thread is hilarious fascinating . i too hate language /terminology that belongs in small print, legalese, political speak and TV shows like Succession, Billions etc that specialise putting together words , in a sentence that absolutely won't make sense to just regular people or people like me who did poorly in school .

Saying that, I hate it when people accuse me of using big words, when realistically they just don't know what that word means, and would rather take the piss out of me, rather than just ask.

That’s my point- who cares if people who don’t need workflow software are baffled by workflow software terminology?

thinklagoon · 30/07/2025 08:53

New slimmer Workflow Software™️, with twice the absorbency rate of Baffling Terminology®️, for those times of the month you need to streamline your processes.
