Your favourite Old Hollywood films?

I’m just getting into Old Hollywood films. I’ve only watched a handful so far, but right now my favourite is Bringing Up Baby (staring Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant)

I’ve been enjoying a lot of silent movies too, so if anyone has any recommendations for silent movies - I’d really appreciate it.

My favourites, so far are Flesh and the Devil (1926), The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928), The General (1927) and City Lights (1931).

Haven’t even thought about the silent options!!

I watched 12 Angry Men with my daughter yesterday. Loved it.

I’m absolutely loving the way I can make my own mind up about what is happening and there are so many little details that I’m paying attention to, they may or may not have significance. I’m not being led on some prescribed route like most modern films.
It’s a breath of fresh air.

Where can we watch old fims

I usually use FMHY, which is a steaming site (use an ad blocker with it).

Many silent movies are on YouTube though due to them being in the public domain in the USA.

Bringing Up Baby is on BBC iPlayer, which is a good one!
