I don't dislike Clare Balding, but I got an advance copy of her novel (Pastures New) to review and it really isn't very well written.

they made up about five years ago and done a g and s reunion then last year the finale

Yeah, I heard that too. Funny it coincided with Corden being cancelled in the states and Matt barely scraping by as a Z list DJ. Funny how cash can bring strong friendships back together isn't it?

Paddy McGuiness. He's not funny in the slightest and completely ruined A Question of Sport.

I also hate him with a passion. All he does is talk in a fake exagerated Northern accent

I can't stand him and I'm none too fond of his ex wife, either. They are both very attention seeking.

Lorraine Kelly. The tax avoidance scam of saying she’s playing a character and Lorraine isn’t her is an unbelievable brass neck.

I refused to keep watching the show and actually emailed them in disgust after hearing her and her celeb correspondent on air bitching about Katy Perry having depression and saying she couldn't really have it as she is rich, talented at pretty. Everyone who has had the misfortune to suffer with depression knows that money, talent and looks have no bearing in this debilitating condition. How dare they?

Felicity Jones is a dreadful actress, i am a star wars fan and fully believe Rogue One could have been great if she wasn't in it, i was also greatly anticipating the third instalment in the Robert Langdon (Da Vinci Code etc.) series Inferno and that was shit too, now flatly refuse to watch anything she is in cos she can't help but ruin it.

whiterabbity · 07/07/2025 12:25

@MrsMoastyToasty😂😂

Bojheybuddy · 07/07/2025 12:54

A bit specific and usually I don’t mind them but Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan in Mobland are the WORST with those terrible Irish accents which there is absolutely no excuse for - especially for PB!

My brother was on her show briefly and he was excited to meet her but doesn't speak well of her now.
Apparently she was quite dismissive of him and had nothing nice to say when they weren't filming.
For the one shot he was in DB had to get some veggies out of a car boot and talk about growing your own ingredients. She had him use her range rover in the shot because his old Toyota wasn't good enough. And it was made clear it was because his car did not portray the right image for someone that grows their own veg.

I always feared that Mary would not be what she seemed. I guess you go need a steel core to do well in showbiz but there is no excuse for not being kind to those around you.

Shelllendyouhertoothbrushtoo · 07/07/2025 13:10

Tom Cruise. I've never been able to watch any of his movies and literally have to cover my eyes if he's on TV or an advert. That man is a psychopath and has done dark shit and I need no evidence other than the vibes transmitting from Hollywood to Yorkshire through my TV screen.

Oceann · 07/07/2025 13:14

LuckyAnt · 07/07/2025 00:17

• Claire Balding, Claire Balding, Claire Balding (entirely without charm)
• Noel Gallagher (tedious self-regarding egotist and professional tool)
• Adrian Chiles (fucking stupid pointless boring Guardian column. And I say that as a Guardian reader)
• Elizabeth Day (thanks to @MerrieFerry for reminding me – major sycophant masquerading as insightful interviewer)

Am sure none of the above would be hugely impressed by me, but whevs

Absolutely Elizabeth Day. She used to be bearable but the smugness is off the charts now

This. Always felt the same. O/H thinks he's great, doing his own stunts etc.

I always just think...hmmm

Clive Anderson. If I hear or see him on radio or TV, I immediately turn off or switch channels. No idea why, possibly his air of smugness.

I vomited on his car when I drank too much as a 15 year old...

I’d imagine it’s a feminised version of Keir, and not the Italian Ciara spelled incorrectly

Oh! I'd be really happy to learn that. The Keira spelling has always irritated me. I'll look up Keir now.

Ciara is also an Irish name 🙂

Tom cruise actually makes me feel a bit nauseous - like physically unwell. I don’t know what it is about him.

Rylan
Guy Martin
...its the teeth!

Have you seen the bloke in the Trivago ad? 🤣. He's not really a sleb as such but those Hampsteads are something else!

RememberBeKindWithKaren · 07/07/2025 15:21

Claudia Winkleman. The Egyptian haircut was interesting for a time but come on, it's had it's day.. Superficial I freely admit

CherryRipe1 · 07/07/2025 15:34

Keith Allen & his annoying daughter.
Hannah someone, does the Bailey's Christmas ad. Mean girl pick me vibes
Jodie Comer, as above but not so much a pick me.
Marky Mark Wahlberg. Git. Refuse to watch anything he's in.

Bradley Walsh. I know a couple of people who've worked with him who haven't got a bad word to say, but I just can't shake it. PIL have the telly on every waking minute and they love gameshows, so it's partly that I can't escape hours of him when we visit.

Bradley Walsh was absolutely horrible to me on The Chase when the cameras were off. Aw soon as they were recording, all best mates again.

She’s actually named after a Russian ice skater (who spells it Kiera).

It's one of those names with multiple spellings... I've seen Keira, Kiera, Kira, Keirra etc.

Obviously Kiera would be the correct spelling 😉

I before E except after C and all that

I assumed Keira/Kiera was the anglicised version of the Irish Ciara, same as Kieran/en and Ciaran 🤔

Do you mean Jurgen Klopp, the former Liverpool manager?

pestowithwalnuts · 07/07/2025 17:17

Another one for Lorraine...
Naga Munchetty.....heard her when she thought she wasn't on camera being nasty about a colleague .
Eddie Redmayne...it's his mouth... irrational I know.

Oh! Well, the thread is about lighthearted and petty dislikes. I am happy to have been wrong ❤️
