Bradley Walsh. I know a couple of people who've worked with him who haven't got a bad word to say, but I just can't shake it. PIL have the telly on every waking minute and they love gameshows, so it's partly that I can't escape hours of him when we visit.

Sugarnspicenallthingsnaice · 07/07/2025 06:02

If I have to pick one UK (or shown in the UK) celebrity who I absolutely refuse to watch on anything, it's...

Jeremy Clarkson

Anyone else I can put up with enough to hate-watch if the actual content of the show is decent enough.

I don't understand the wide appeal of Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall, perhaps you need to have grown up with them. Living outside the UK and only seeing them pop up occasionally, their fame is a bit of a mystery to me. I'm sure every country has much-loved celebs who make visitors think WTF? though.

TwigletsAndRadishes · 07/07/2025 06:19

Paddy McGuinness, Rob Beckett, Ian Hislop, Lily Allen, Richie Anderson, Elaine Paige. Although I don't consider any of them irrational.

Morethanthis71 · 07/07/2025 06:24

Bonnie Langford, but I don't feel it's irrational!

Busbygirl · 07/07/2025 06:26

Agree with Paddy McGuiness and also Vernon Kay.
I imagine both aren’t that pleasant behind closed doors.
Naga Munchetty.

Flupflup · 07/07/2025 06:30

Alan Carr ,absolutely hate his voice !

Duh · 07/07/2025 06:31

How has nobody mentioned Martin Freeman yet?

Humourless smug mod wearing his tinted glasses indoors.

mindingmyown37 · 07/07/2025 06:34

youreactinglikeafunmum · 06/07/2025 22:38

Why djokovic? 👀👀

He’s always come across to me as a cocky shit and not in a pleasing way

NestEmptying · 07/07/2025 06:34

TheRadiatorLadySings · 06/07/2025 19:13

ill probably get hell for it, but Mary Beery. She always comes across a bit insincere and like she’d be the worst kind of patronising Tory in real life to me for some reason. I have no idea what she’s like offscreen so it’s very unreasonable of me to think so, I suppose!

My brother was on her show briefly and he was excited to meet her but doesn't speak well of her now.
Apparently she was quite dismissive of him and had nothing nice to say when they weren't filming.
For the one shot he was in DB had to get some veggies out of a car boot and talk about growing your own ingredients. She had him use her range rover in the shot because his old Toyota wasn't good enough. And it was made clear it was because his car did not portray the right image for someone that grows their own veg.

Doncarlos · 07/07/2025 06:35

Vernon Kay. I detest the way his says Sunshiiiyyyne (Oasis style) constantly and how he’s always banging on about the check in or whatever it is.

Philandbill · 07/07/2025 06:41

@2catsandhappy you've stolen my list 😁

Lafufufu · 07/07/2025 06:42

Rita Ora

HarlotOTara · 07/07/2025 06:44

Too many to mention so let’s say anyone in ‘light entertainment’ plus Kate Garraway (is she light entertainment?), anyone on the news and Carol whatsername who did the weather on the BBC - she might still do. In fact anyone on the telly in a jolly bollocksy role

Samiloff · 07/07/2025 06:53

Stephen Fry. But he’s such a smarmy self-satisfied git it’s not irrational.

IggleBiggle · 07/07/2025 06:55

Reading this makes me realise I hate most of them!

Ophy83 · 07/07/2025 07:06

Jeremy Vine. I usually listen to radio 2 in the car but the instant he comes on I shout "fuck off Jeremy" and turn it over. Can't stand him.

I love Tom Hanks however.

Okbyethen · 07/07/2025 07:08

Bradley Walsh and his absolute little boy melt of a son. Both so smug and irritating, can't watch anything with either of them in it.

Kier Starmer, another total wet wipe excuse of a man. He's a little bitch that absolutely should NOT be in charge of this country. He's a total simp for Trump.

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 07/07/2025 07:10

Dickie Madeley - makes my teeth itch
Rita Ora - talented but annoying
Alison Hammond - cannot interview anyone remotely important
Lizzie Cundy - opening of an envelope attendee
Carol Vorderman - it’s the leggings and huge belts
Martin Freeman - no idea why
Meghan Markle - sorry, I’ve tried….

localnotail · 07/07/2025 07:12

Zoe Ball! Dont hear her much now but she was everywhere about 20 years ago. Everything about her is still very annoying, from her voice to her ears.

Another one is Mickael McIntyre (the comedian) - he reminds me so much of a dickhead first boyfriend.

HoratioBum · 07/07/2025 07:15

Tom Daley from me too. Is all TWAW until he needs a womb to grow a baby in. But then I think that about most gay surrogate dads, he’s just got his head furthest above the parapet.
Davina McCall. I actually stopped going to Sainsburys for a bit when they were booming out her MENOPAUSE promotional schtick recordings over the PA. Sorry for your troubles with your brain tumour and that, but ffs give it a rest love, I’m just trying to buy some Fridge Raiders.
Caroline Hirons : agreed, she just comes across and bitter and gobby and money grabbing.
In the same vein- Sali Hughes. Went from decent once-a-week beauty journo to PickMe Cool Girl influencer who will shill virtually anything in order to keep bringing in the money. I do feel sorry for a lot of influencers in that respect - they’ve crucified themselves on the altar of eternally new content - no-one wants to see three posts in a row of them saying “yup! Still loving this budget mascara from Rimmel!” and I guess they’ve got to keep paying the bills, but there’s no need to be so sneery about it.

Barney reminds me of Scrappy Doo ( Scoobys irritating nephew ) you just want to give him a back handed slap !

Elizabeth Day.

David Walliams.

Chris Packham

Oh yes Elizabeth Day, I had to give up her podcast - the fawning - 🤮

Guy who commentates on F1 on Sky, ‘and they’re offfffff ‘, F off , he’s so annoying!

Thank you! I've been saying this for a few years to my husband. The F1 commentary team make me want to scream! They are so unfunny and, yet, they appear to think they've got so much to say!
They really irritate me!

I nominated Naga Munchetty too. I can’t stand the woman but l really couldn’t tell you why. She just comes across as so full of herself.

FormidableAnt · 07/07/2025 07:25

Ben Shepherd for his fake grin and groping female contestants on Tipping Point.

Steve Coogan for speeding at over 97 miles an hour. I don't care how good you are at your job. You could destroy multiple people's lives forever if you cause an accident.

Rob Brydon, not funny, and gives the vibe he talks to himself in the mirror like a budgie. "Who's a clever boy!".

Bill Murray. Another one who's handsy with women and a thoroughly unpleasant man, to the point of people choosing to leave a film set rather than work with him.

Female comedians (three in particular) who have made their sex lives and body parts everyone else's business, not just at their gigs, but on talk/panel shows. Is it me who's a prude? Do I have to hear 'vag' a certain number of times, like Candyman, and then I'lI get why it's funny?
