Agree on Tess... I don't dislike her particularly, but you'd think after all these years she'd be a bit better at her job. Always sounds very forced and cannot deal with anything at all unexpected.

He lives near me, and is considered by all and sundry to be a lovely person and a general good egg to the whole community.

We shared a bottle of rum once (there were many of us), and did the "dither dance" British people do when they don't know which way to step out of someone's way.

He's so generally helpful that my friend saw him walking his baby in a sling before it was mad republic and just thought he was being a good friend :D
