I absolutely hate this. I always check all photos before posting them to be sure that all look ok but not all people are so considerate.

I’d ask them to share no photos in future. If they are unflattering and you’re not confident with them you’ve every right to say so.

I hate this too and it’s happened so often that I now just refuse to be in photos, still happens occasionally when people take candid snapshots and I’m not aware, but honestly it really bothers me, I can’t explain how bad it makes me feel.

It might be they are just lacking self awareness. Can you have a word with them with how you feel? I had a friend that was like this, for years I had to untag pictures of me. In the end I did say something, she had no idea, not malicious at all.

There's a setting on FB where you can asked to review tagged in photos before they post...i have it turned on as I also hate my pic being taken and shared without my ok

I feel you, my sister posted a very unflattering picture of me in a bikini on Facebook, I couldn't beleive it.
She couldn't understand what my problem was, I barely share anything on Facebook so certainly wouldn't put something like that on!

YANBU. Cant stand how people just assume it’s okay to get the phone out and start filming and photographing then sharing everything everywhere.

The first photo I saw of myself appear on Facebook from my wedding was me mid-guffaw with 7 chins. Lovely. I just wouldn’t dream of posting a photo like that of someone.
