Ds's 8th b'day tomorrow
We are having a party
The house is a mess
I had to take the boys to a party today and Dh wanted to come but I asked him to stay at home and tidy up
I get home, it's a bloody mess!!
He says he fell asleep- how irresponsible(he has been on nights but wanted to stay up today to get in sync with us for the bank holiday weekend)
He is doing it now after I had a go at him.
Men, eh?

No wonder he's so knackered.

Have to be impressed by your businesslike attitude. I wonder if Germaine Greer knows about this phenomenon, and whether any other women run a similar one. Did your mother do it too, Johnso?

EW that is odd re the asterisks. I tried doing 4 and pressing preview. 4 came up on preview but then it seemed to change to 2. Odd.

Elasticwoman · 24/05/2008 23:12

Come to MN to brush up your ICT skills.
I wonder if Johnso has gone off to ravish her dh after all this erotic talk of asterisks.

I always fancied Asterix the Gaul.

johnso · 24/05/2008 23:16

No, just went to check what he was doing!
he was finishing the bathroom off
House clean, now I am happy

he was finishing off the bathroom while you were on mumsnet and he has been on night shifts you have to a party ?

WallOfSilence · 24/05/2008 23:19

Oh, I dodn't realise this was a wind up.

Feel stupid now.

Elasticwoman · 24/05/2008 23:20

what makes you so sure it's a wind up?

GrimmaTheNome · 24/05/2008 23:21

Thank you Johnso. I realise now that I need to take my DH in hand.

Though not till he's scrubbed the kitchen floor to start with.

Elasticwoman · 24/05/2008 23:22

Lol, Grimma!

ladymariner · 24/05/2008 23:22

yawn!!!

RaspberrySheep · 25/05/2008 00:32

Johnso, whether or not this thread is true, it's certainly very funny and has cheered me up!
If your DH doesn't want the sex, can he exchange points for other vouchers instead?and how many points do you have to save up before you see any action from his side??!!!

MrsAki · 25/05/2008 01:07

I don't know, is this a wind up?
I would totally expect my hubby to take half the responsibility for cleaning our house. It is after all OUR house and OUR children. Why would it not be his responsibility as well to make sure that the house looks nice for the party? I would not expect my husband to come running when I snap my fingers, just as I would not come running if he snapped his, but I would expect us to share the responsibility to keep the house nice, especially if we had planned to have a party.

S1ur · 25/05/2008 01:37

I lurve the points system. Does he get loyalty points too?

Do you have a little chart on the fridge? Is it adapted from supernanny?

How about special stickers? you could have these

Then again you may have plenty those already.
