Selfish cannabis smokers wafting smell in home

Neighbour invited some friends or family over. They are in back yard smoking cannabis which is wafted into my bedroom. Got nothing else but to close window.

Never spoke to the neighbour since he moved in 8 years ago.

A spliff that lasts longer than a BBQ?

Blimey, I wonder how many Rizlas they used 😁

As with the other commenter. One person, having a single spliff is rarely the scenario people are talking about. This is people (plural, usually) having multiple spliffs multiple times a day. And it absolutely goes on for longer than a BBQ.

I'm sure you don't make any noise or annoy them in any way.....

It's all part of living in a community

It's really not. Living in a community in only successful if the majority follow the law (and not smoke drugs)

This happened to me too. Neighbour smokes it regularly though. Our whole area smells like weed. Walk down the road - weed! Gardening - weed! Pop into the local shops - weed! It gives me a headache too and I don't want the kids breathing it in. There are even cannibis stickers all over the lamposts. I don't mind people having a good time but I can't stand the smell.

Every single night out the back of us OP. Can’t have our doors open in the evening because the smell is so strong. I hate it with a passion.

weed Smells disgusting and it’s often such a strong lingering smell. I can’t stand the stuff.

The skunk everyone can smell nowadays is incredibly strong it’s not basic old fashioned grass

if it was legalised and grass was around so much would be better

but skunk is different

Calling it grass has given me the biggest boat load of second hand embarrassment. I don’t think I could cringe harder if I tried.

grass 🤣😭🤮

To anyone who is offended by the smell of it - do not waste your breath trying to convince those who couldn't care less what it is like to be around it. They don't or don't want to understand. How anyone can compare it to a barbecue smell is beyond me.

One time I had people living next door who smoked skunk at the weekend, in their home (on the attached side of my semi), and I could not stand being in my own living room due to the stench that made it through the walls. It was such an embarrassing conversation to have with them, and I was mindful to make accurate notes of the times when it started & ended so as they knew I wasn't being melodramatic (there is little worse than having a complaint and being told it happens "all time time" when in fact it doesn't).

Whatever they did next, it made the problem go away, albeit it could still be smelled in the garden, so I know they didn't stop using it. I am guessing they must have smoked it differently or bought a different type. I was relieved though when they moved house.

Then don’t quote mine.

Then check what you are replying to and use " quite history" so you don't jump in with irrelevant comments
