I’ve built the Northern Lights Diorama today in between doing jobs. It was a nice and quick build. I’m running out of display space again though!
I’ve phoned round various stores today and none of them are getting the Japanese cherry blossom in stock. So frustrating. I wish I could at least back order it. It’s double points tomorrow so I’ll order Ds the set he’d like that’s due out in March. I might get the tulips.

I see the northern lights one is a GWP, has that offer finished now, I can’t work it out on the Lego website?

I’ve found my tribe!

I have about 20-30 sets to build in my stash.

My oldest set of a castle #375 I had as a child. It was released in 1978!

Im now doing F1 cars but also have the Up house, the Friends Coffee shop and a load of others to do. Daughter mainly has dinosaur or botanical sets

just some sets I’ve done this year so far.

@EverythingIsComputerit was a GWP last year. There’ll be sets on vinted and eBay. I’d like the coral reef and the other one that goes with the set of four from
that GWP series.

LegoTherapy · 29/01/2026 07:13

The Penguins in Love GWP is live with a £70 spend threshold. I’ve ordered the tulips and love flower sign. I’ve counted up and I have 16 sets that were GWPs not including the ones I missed and got off vinted or eBay. I love GWPs!

@LegoTherapy I got my Japanese Cherry Blossom from Wayland Games, but they're out of stock now. Argos may have the odd one come back if people have bought them and not collected?

JaceLancs · 29/01/2026 20:25

We’ve got the full set

@JaceLancsI'm after the coral reef and rainforest to complete the collection now I’ve finally got round to building the African Savannah and Northern Lights.

I’ve got my eye on the 3in1 telescope. In fact I like a few of the 3in1 sets. They look good fun. We do a fair amount of big sets but I enjoy a small, fairly quick set.

JaceLancs · 30/01/2026 22:16

@LegoTherapy the telescope is lovely!
We are starting story of Tian this weekend

Chaos at my local store today with double Insider points. One couple were leaving with around £800 of sets.

What sets did you get? The Lego shop near me gets really busy too, although it is nice to see sets displayed. I tend to buy online

Dearover · 31/01/2026 17:01

Nothing at all. Just looking

LegoTherapy · 31/01/2026 18:18

I only usually buy smaller sets in store. I did get the Ninjago city workshops and Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship in store and my god they were so heavy to carry back up to the train station then up home. The Ninjago one I bought before getting Ds from school so that was extra hard work. Most sets are ordered online and delivered.

I bought the Tuxedo cat in store and a couple of sets for my Niece and Nephew at my last visit to the Lego store. Agree sets can be heavy to carry. So much easier to buy online.

Nice to window shop. They do a Lego version of a Lego shop, it’s a really nice set

JaceLancs · 31/01/2026 19:35

I managed to find the Japanese picture in Smyths today - nearly bought the tulips too as they were cheaper than from Lego

JoshLymanSwagger · 31/01/2026 19:44

@JaceLancs Why didn't you get the tulips? (eta, sorry, but I'd have bought them - full price seems a bit steep to me)

I've ordered Starry Night, and have bought an old modular...

DH wants to start my Japanese Cherry Blossom.
I'm saving it for my Birthday (March)

I may have to hurt discipline him.🤨

LegoTherapy · 31/01/2026 21:19

The Love Letters were a really nice build. Smyths have good offers on because Lego has double points and a GWP. I’ve noticed that when Lego has offers then other retailers put some sets on sale. I’m
collecting points and wanted the GWP so I was happy to pay a few pounds more to buy from Lego and get it delivered. Smyths have free delivery over £25 which is good. Lego is a £50 spend for free delivery. A trip to the shops always costs me bus or train fare plus a drink and food so again it’s better for me to get sets delivered.

It’s a lovely set to build and so pretty when done. The smaller sets are really good I find. I love these sets that are coming out now. I loved making the daisies and hope for more sets like this. I’ve taken advantage of the double points and GWP today (on Lego website). I’m going to save my points up this year and put it towards another Lego set. I’m going to look out for other Lego insiders weekends and GWP
