Trying to decide if I need the tulip bouquet. I've got some little tulips in a mixed bouquet I put together

Pumpkittenspice · 25/01/2026 14:33

My DP asked if I would like the pink rose bouquet for Valentine’s Day. Of course, the answer is yes!

I need a bigger house...

Lilym4y · 25/01/2026 14:53

@JoshLymanSwagger
We dream of a lottery win so we can build a bungalow with a craft / Lego room each 🤣

TheWayTheLightFalls · 25/01/2026 17:06

Like the look of the next GWP.

That looks good , I’ve just bought Himiji castle so that would go well .

LegoTherapy · 25/01/2026 23:41

Why are there new sets that are out temporarily out of stock? I spoke to Lego and they don’t know when my two most wanted will be back in stock and now Paris In Love is temporarily out of stock too. Not even on back order. I’ve never known this happen before.

JaceLancs · 25/01/2026 23:45

I want the Japanese picture but not badly enough to buy elsewhere and lose my Lego points
Its still out of stock and would help me with next GWP Grrrrrrrrrr

Is lego points really worth that much? I usually buy in sales and just get the 20 points, unless there's an exclusive set or a really wanted GWP

If you get points for buying and points for registering sets they add up I find.

However do you actually save money? If you pay full price for each set, to get the points, when you use them are you really saving money? Obviously if you use them on exclusive stuff it's a good deal, but if you use them on something available elsewhere is it any better than if you have saved money previously on other sets? I guess it's long term vs short term savings

LegoTherapy · 26/01/2026 13:02

I bought the family Christmas tree with points we’d saved up and now have £120 in points to spend. I prefer to buy direct from Lego to get the gifts with purchase and points. It’s definitely worth it if you buy a lot of Lego.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 26/01/2026 13:35

Same as Lego. Plus I am mainly buying ££££ modulars - I’d be waiting years/ never hoping another retailer had it cheaper.

ThisIsMyYearToFindMyself · 26/01/2026 14:13

Do any of you buy second hand sets?

If so, where from, how much discount etc?

I do. I’ve bought used LEGO from Vinted and eBay. I’ve never had any issues!

It’s usually for the GWP
I have bought lots of Lego on eBay usually go for sealed box sets - sometimes get a discount if packaging damaged
Very occasionally I’m lucky enough to find a set in a charity shop and unless sealed won’t pay much in case bits are missing
We also go to brick fest type conventions and occasionally buy old sets but often just to get ideas of sets I wasn’t aware of

Somemothersdoavem · 26/01/2026 20:38

I buy my Lego sets through the Lego website, I like to save my points up too. I buy lego as gifts for my nieces and nephews too, it adds up. I use my points quite a bit so will try to save them up to go towards bigger purchases. I have seen Lego cheaper elsewhere though and agree would save a lot buying through other companies. I’ve bought Lego through eBay; particularly retired sets.

These Lego clogs made me laugh 😆

LegoTherapy · 27/01/2026 07:29

I buy retired sets from eBay and vinted. I got Assembly Square for around £150 or £180 which was a massive bargain. I got two sets at Christmas from Amazon because the discount was more than the double Lego points would have given me but that’s very rare.

ThisIsMyYearToFindMyself · 27/01/2026 18:09

Thank you everyone. So is it a gamble if you buy an opened set as to whether all the pieces are there or not? I was looking through some retired sets, some of them I’d definitely be interested in if I was confident buying them.

ThisIsMyYearToFindMyself · 27/01/2026 18:14

@JaceLancs We also go to brick fest type conventions

Any specific recommendations?

LegoTherapy · 27/01/2026 19:20

My little daisies and lavender.
